Hi,
My mom is in a valid super visa now and expecting to re-enter Canada in October. I have applied the sponsorship application for her on June 20th, 2019 and didn't receive any updates or AoR letter yet. Hopefully, I will receive an update in a month or two. My questions are:

1. Do you think it is a good idea to get the police certificate when she is there? how long does it remain valid?
2. Can she do her medical exam in Canada? what are the pros and cons of doing the medical exam in Canada Vs her country?

Thank you in advance for your comments.

She definitely can do a PCC while in her country and in most cases it is valid for 6 months. So if you think you can submit application within the timeframe, sure go ahead.

She definitely can do medical exam in Canada. No pros cons except it's a little more expensive in Canada + next available appointments are hard to find. However she would still need to leave canada for biometrics I guess. Other people can correct me on this one if I am wrong.

Thank you JJS for your prompt response.
She did biometrics for her super visa in 2017. Does she need to do it again? and it can only be done outside of Canada?

I am very sure she needs to do it again, but it depends on her location at that time.

You can find more information here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/biometrics.asp
Hi JJS,
I have checked her status with this link you provided and it says her biometric is valid till 2026 (usually for 10 years) as follows:

Biometric status
Status
Valid
Details
Your biometrics are currently valid. They are usually valid for up to 10 years.
Expiry date
May 01, 2026

I guess, it means she doesn't need to do it again. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Thanks,

Oh, though it is valid, for PR she needs to go give again. Apologies for the confusion
