TOURIST VISA TIMELINE FROM KARACHI, PAKISTAN 2018-19

This is not true lots of my friends apply same time and they are also waiting, look like due to holidays they are not able to decide and lots of load on them.

Have some patience and every one will see results for their application.

Before this minimum time was 90-120 days so just relax and wait for your turn.

Hmm maybe. Lets see. Processing time keeps on jumping. Now it is 57 days but hopefully people will start to get results sooner than that

They improved the time for many neighboring countries and so many success stories are also published by the applicants from there but so far it's very slow for Pakistani applicants and not many positive results, they are refusing many applications after 50-60 days waiting time. Thats so true that everyone will get the results some day some time but things are not happening as committed.

Dear Forum members and moderators,

I Would like to share my Canada visa experience with all forum members to help and support them in their visa applications. That’s why posting such a big content to help everyone who intent to apply Canada TRV Visa. However my Canada business visit visa was also refused in September 2017, I was going to USA for exhibition in 2017 and applied online based visa in 2017 which was refused in 2017. In my covering letter I mentioned about my previous refusal and also attached the photographs of my 2017 USA travel. I had very less hope about it that I will get the visa because of my previous refusal. But I took the chance because I was traveling to USA again with my family to attend some business exhibition so I planned again and took the Chance to apply for the tourist visa so together we will visit both USA and Canada.


Applied as a tourist visa with my family. I was holding UK Valid Visa, Schengen Valid Visa, USA Valid Visa and China Valid Visa.

My family was holding Valid US Visa and had a Schengen Visa on which they traveled to Germany along with me in September 2018.

• a) Distribution certificate of various USA, UK and European companies which certifies that My company is doing business with them.

CONCLUSION:

However I didn’t link any of my applications online. We were 3 applicants me, my wife and my infant daughter.
Finally Passport Collected on 08th January 2019, Visa(s) were stamped on all passports.

TOTAL TIME IT TOOK, AROUND 27 DAYS FROM KARACHI ,PAKISTAN

1- What is OC in their messages? Is that VAC office? What does it stand for? I have a hard time understanding their process.

I think the first two emails simply means you submitted application and only third email show it's on way to IRCC or maybe Canadian High Consulate. The wording they use is confusing.

2- Did you have to pay 3 package fees for VAC? (not the visa fees for Canada but the VAC). And did you get 3 different tracking numbers? or was it just 1 fee of 1486 Rs and you got 1 tracking number for all 3 people.

They started the paper base without passport from Feb 2019, before Feb 2019 they were sending passport along with paper based applications. But now its easy that you keep the passport either you apply online or paper base. I prefer the paper base as you can send more documents as compare to online.

My understanding is also same as yours that they don’t send passport overseas they keep the passports at Islamabad embassy but the decision makers are in Abu Dhabi and Canada, they instruct and give approval to the local embassy to issue and paste the visa in passports and return it to visa application centres. This is what my theory. Because I applied UK visa for my family on 19th August I went to Gerry’s UK office along with my documents and they scanned all the documents and only keep the passport and told me that I will get a reply in 15 working days or 3 weeks but luckily I got reply in 2 days on 22nd I got an email that visas are issued and on 26th August I have collected all the passports the best part was that visas are starting from the intended dates which he mentioned in our application and that is next month dates so we don’t waste a single day on our visa, but in all my life I never experience such a quick visa process of UK. It took me 4 months to obtain my 1st UK visa. I wish and hope that Canada also adapt the same faster and efficient procedure for their visa applications.

I have read your previous post , there is no point tracking from Gerrys website as they forwarded your documents to Islamabad overseas commission / embassy who are responsible for further sending documents to IRC as per their request and in return IRC request them to process the VISA and return the passport back to visa application center. Since in your case they haven't collected your passport so that passport message is not valid for it's general template message for all applicants and that's why you are getting this message on gerry's website.
