Just got a reply from IRCC webform:

We verified the information you provided regarding the processing of your application and have forwarded it to the responsible office.

They will contact you if further information is required or if a decision is made on your application.

We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry.

Notice a bit different from previous ones. All my previous enquiries are almost the same: We verified the information you provided and can confirmed that your application is still in progress...
As I have recently got a Ghost update and medical extension. Would this different reply mean differently? Or, if I am too sensitive? Any ideas? @Prashant86_2000 @Mr_nobody @canshaThanks...
In this one, I agree with Cansha. It seems to be a template response..

Did you receive medical extension around the expiry date? Sometimes, remed or medical extension are good news and they show that everything is almost done.

Thanks for the reply. My medical expired when my application reached 1 year mark, about two weeks earlier before the medical actually expired. And then, my medical was extended two months later.

OK. Usually medical will be assessed as part of the last review. So, if a person gets remed request, it shows that everything is done and ready for ppr. However, I am not sure if the same thing can be applied to you. For you, it seems that at one year mark, it automatically got extended to a later date.
Anyways, hope this wait ends soon and you receive you pr.

I am May 2018 AOR...Eligibility, Crimanility, Medicals (expired) - all passed as per GCMS, but applications still 'on hold' for further review since Nov 2018.

Got reply from MP today that processing center is waiting for information from 3rd party agency. Could be security. Have never ordered CBSA/ or CSIS notes.

"On Hold" may indicate your file is in SS.

Hullo. I have read that CBSA/ CSIS notes give a tentative completion date to complete their security check. How reliable is this date? Do they complete near that timeframe?

Also, I am reading that security screening may go on upto a couple of years too? Could that be possible too?

Not sure about your first question. But with IRCC or any government agency for that matter I will take due dates with a pinch of salt. They don’t really adhere to any deadlines.

And yes there are some cases on this forum where security screenings have gone beyond a year so it’s possible.
