My story....
I received biometric request by mail in almost 2 months after the date it was sent. Because of this reason, I am way past the due date for it and i dont know if i have to pay 85 doller again or they will do bio check ?

Why don’t u try calling them ? Or at least writing a letter to the visa office? If I were u, I would go and do fingerprints ASAP and then send them a letter explaining what happened.
Prior to that I would Give a call to cic and ask if my case was not refused while they were waiting for biometrics, and ask them about the best route to take.
I did send them webforms regarding that they responded with
(We verified the information you provided and have forwarded it to the responsible office
They will contact you if further information is required or if a decision is made on your application )
But until now i did not get any bio request letter
Congratulations and all the best for your Interview. In between this is what happened in my case, I have missed my biometric deadline and it was on dec 2 . It’s a big mistake from my part as I waited for email communication and i didn’t checked my online account for messages. I came to see this letter only on Jan 2 that’s too late. Now don’t know what to do next as this is a miss from my side. I have submitted the web form and waiting for their reply. I don’t know whether they will give me second chance. Did they send you a new biometric letter? Or you went to VAC with expired letter. What reply you got from the officer for your web form enquiry. How many days you waited for the reply.
It would be great if you could provide me a reply. And my ielts is going to expire on mar 3.
Dont wait for thier replay and go to your nearist biometric and tell them to do your biometric incase they say its expired you tell them that my lawyer told me its fine you still can do your bio
In my case cic send me bio letter in june and i got it in aug by mail almost two months but its fine nothing to worry about
Just go to your nearest visa office center on monday take an appointment first they will do your bio
Mine is spousal sponsership no idea about ielts but it could be same when it comes to biometric ?
