Hi Folks,

I have a quick questions. Is it medical exam necessary for PR application?

I am renewing my parents visitor visa. There is a question about if my parents live in certain countries or territories for more than 6mths will need a medical exam. However, My parents only stay in China for 4 mths the rest of time were in Canada. So, my parents may not need a medical exam for renew according to the questionaries. Should I just do the medical exam then it could use for PR application later on? So far I haven't gotten any request for medical or bio yet.

Thanks.

I would like to ask if any filipino applicants that had issues in getting NBI clearance? If we can’t provide an NBI clearance in a month, how can we advise CIC
Or request for extension?
Ask for extension if you cannot provide within 30 days. Did CIC requested NBI for your parents already?

Hello, my MiL's passport is expiring on Dec 29, 2021. She's currently on a Supervisa and can stay for 2 years entry of January 29 2019 and will probably apply for extension until application for PR gets approved. My question is, if ever her application gets approved assuming that it's 20-24 months submitted application June 14, 2019, projected completion of application would be June 2021 processing for PGP. Are we better off renewing her passport as soon as we can before she hits PPR? I know that to enter Canada you would at least need 6 months of passport validity and I'm assuming this will be applicable for her soft landing as well.

Thanks
You don’t need 6 months validity to enter as PR. My wife’s passport was expiring in 3 months when we entered as PR.

You need 6 months validity to get PR Visa from CIC. Then you can enter anytime before that visa expires. So probably your wife didnt enter Canada around 3 months after getting the visa stamped? Correct? Unless few countries passport need less validity.

It's good & professional . The Tests are done quickly although there is some waiting after the Tests for doctor to see you . The fees is Rs.5,700/- for immigration . If one has a car then there is valet parking in the stilts .
@Canada_Super Thanks !
My parent did her medicals today at Max Multi and the experience was pretty good.
Do you know how much time they take to upload results to IRCC ?

That's not true, my wife just landed last month and she had 5 months validity when they stamped her visa on the passport. The only thing that would change is that the landing visa would expire the same day as your passport instead of a year after your medical exams.
You don't need 6 months of validity when entering as a PR as you are not coming to visit, you are coming to live here.

Quick question all,

My mum just came in to Canada to visit and I am thinking she might get her medical request while she is still here in Canada, although in my application her address has her home country.

My question is - Can she do her medicals in Canada if she gets the request for medicals?

Here is an example of PPR letter and yes it says it is recommended to have the passport valid at least 6 months (again may be not compulsory as you are saying but recommended)
