Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2019

Hello Everyone - We received AOR yesterday with application number starting with F and confirming application has been accepted under 2019 program.

I checked Ecas this morning and i was able to see:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on May 27, 2019.

This is for my mother in law application.

Background check should be next. PCC request and then PPR, I would say.
May be working in batches, it is still too early.

So my parents file was moved to New Delhi after Sponsor Approval.
On August 1, I received request for Medicals, PCC and Travel History form from New Delhi visa office.
PCC and Travel History form was submitted on August 3rd. Medicals on August 12 & 13.

I think in my case, the must have done background check already as they asked for PCC. What do you think?

Would one require a PCC from a third country (not Canada and not their country of origin) they visited multiple times, never more than 6 months together but the sum is more than 6 months in the last 5 years?

E.g. My parents visit my sister once a year, every year, for 2 months at a time. They are from Pakistan and my sister lives in the U.K. They have a U.K visit visa.

No you dont need to, as one stay should be more than 6 months.

No you dont need to, as one stay should be more than 6 months.

Are you sure? I always thought it was the sum of visits.
This would make things simpler.

if Applicant stay more than 6 month on single visit since age 18 required PCC

When was your application to sponsor your parents submitted? Was it on May 27, 219 or earlier?

Cannot comment on how visa officers work. Some send PCC request right on start and some later.
BG check is always tricky, can take few weeks to few months, depends on the officer and the case.

My cic account shows status updates "We are reviewing the results of your medical exam.", Though no medical exam has been given yet. Hoping to get the email soon for the same..

Hope so May 8th and CPC-Mississauga, waiting from 20 days now.........

Thats great..some of us are stuck at "in process" for more than a month now.
