The 11 month mark is coming up for my application on August 6, 2019. I'm planning to buy a ticket for my wife to leave her country and head to Bogota during the process of the application. She's only allowed to stay in Bogota for 3 months as a visitor. You can say she is moving/visiting Bogota, right now we're worried she might get stuck in her own country.

Ecuador just set VISA requirements on Venezuelans two days ago. Panama City and Peru(where we used to meet once a year) all need visa to enter the country.

If the application exceeds another 3 months, that means she needs to leave Bogota. Literally racing against a corrupted government and my application right now.

My husband is in the DR as well. I am 10 months in . There is a lot of talk around this August 11 date, in fact I see a bf date in my notes for this exact date . 2 months to go so I am hoping it goes fast. It’s discouraging yes , and my husband is beginning to wonder if he will ever get here .
Hi - Any update on this?

They gonna have to admit their defeat at some point more and more apps are getting on queue , not finished, and in some cases not even transferred. This system is just not working the 80% app are just the same ones and in major part processed by the same vo , missisauga besides it , the promise of 12 months is not standing.

I totally agree with this. I think it's too much of a mockery, the system they have simply does not work and the VO what they do is delay, why does an application that is processed in Canada only take 3 months? why don't they process all the applications there? It's tiring and annoying.

Thats called double standard ... more it takes for our app to be processed is good for them cause in most cases with the objectives we are the "unwanted" yes we ll pass but .... at the end

That's discriminatory, just because we're from Latin America.

Unfortunately sounds like ... canada is super welcoming but , def having preferences but any country play this game we are not different

Is it because it more difficult to gather background info from these countries?
Is it a language thing, where VO doing the background check must do so in Spanish?
Is it because the VO in Mexico is saturated with more applicants? They why send them there every time?
It would be interesting to know what the difference is.
For safety of all Canadians transparency can not be fully expected I think.
It totally seems unfair for sure.

We all want to know... but tney won't say a thing about what's happening in those walls. Proof is easy to do ? They dont exchange with us unless via webform 5 to 10 days with brief answers. No way to contact them besides it, and call center is a real joke .. they basically read the same thing we have with gckey "yes your app gonna be sent to mexico soon ..." they told me the same thing in may , june, july ... and we are yet on august 10th so... that worth what it worth which means nothing
