I honestly don't see any point to maintain and join in the WA group. All the updates people can share in the forum here. By joining the group, you are disclosing your name and phone no and may be subject to privacy issues.

I guess I am gonna apply for US visa, can anyone guide me in a right direction. I have checked their website and it looks like I need B2 visa
How long does it take to received it after submitting a complete application?
Do I need to send a passport to them?
Can I do it online or it has to be done on paper only?
I will appreciate if you share your experience

It’s very easy process as I just applied for my parents and after interview it took only 4 days for passport to deliver with visa ! I choose B2 options when filling form and passport has been stamped with both B1/B2 visa

Nope for all in tracker applicant but there is new request to add has May 10 application received and DM for sponsorship approved with Bio request dated Aug 2 and Aug 1 resp.

Sponsor side never got IP actually. When I got Bio letters, I did check ecas couple times yesterday, it's still AR on both side. But this morning, I checked it again, and got DMS and IP.

This is what it shows for VAC locations in Buffalo and almost everywhere else in New York state:

• ASCs only collect biometrics
• You must already be legally in the U.S. to go to an ASC

Anyone knows what the ASC mean?
and seems like we cannot travel there just for biometrics.....any thoughts/experience?

ASC are Application Support Center, when you cross the boarder don't mention that you are going for biometrics as they may refuse entry, tell them you are going sightseeing or shopping. You must have your biometrics request letter before you can book an appointment online as it asks for your IRCC ref number.
We did it last week with no problems.
