@fjle
Could you please share the exact office you went to, and how did the process go? Did you tell the officer you were going for that or not? Asking because I think when my time comes my closest place for my mom’s Bio will be Montana as well! I just Hope is not in the winter..

Very much appreciated.
Thanks
Went to the ASC in Helena, Montana about a 6 hour drive from Calgary as that was the closest one to us. Crossed the boarder at Carway and told the boarder agents we were going sightseeing.
The staff at the ASC in Helena were really nice and we were done in 15 mins, then the 6 hour drive back to Calgary with no issues coming back across the boarder. You need your biometrics request letter before you can book an appointment and the appointments are only available 2 weeks in advance, they don't allow walk-in's.

That is very frustrating, my mom does not have a US visa and can’t go to there what options do I have? Flighting to Mexico? Or can we dispute this request somehow?

Hey guys I received my sponsorship approval on August 1st. The LVO assigned is London. I guess all Pakistani applicants get assigned London based on last year’s tracker.

Do you guys have an idea when can I expect to get medical/PCC now? I noticed some last year applications from London office got medical requests a year after they got SA letter. Why is there such a delay at London office?

Thanks for this info. I am 10 May applicant. My parents are arriving here on 9 Aug for 6 months. They have US visitor visas. So, that means I can take them to Buffalo ASC for biometrics. I will need to fix prior appointment. Correct?

did you receive any confirmation after submitting the additional documents via email and how long it usually takes from receiving until decision made?

I understand the process bar is meaningless .The reason i am asking is that my application was received on may10th,and I'm able to see the bar until this noon.So i am assuming they are processing my application?
I guess i was correct.My ecas shows in process this morning.But the weird thing is both my sponsorship and permanent residence application is showing "in process".Has anyone met this before?

That is a great news, actually this year my parent's didn't get any date stamp on the passport when they arrived and we assumed that it implied 6 months :)

No stamp means 2 yrs on super visa. if after 6 months you ask for extension (which is not required as its valid for 2 yrs) then they can ask for medicals.
On her second visit, she was not asked for re-medicals. They just checked her 1 yr medical insurance.

What I mean is my application was received on the 2nd day. how is it that an application received on day 12 is processed earlier? that's different days, not the same day. And why exactly different employee have so different speeds? the problem is CIC doesn't have an answer. no transparency.
Or you could quit complaining and appreciate the fact you have an opportunity to sponsor your parent/s and understand the process can take up to 24 months. They're human, not clones so naturally not going to work at the same speeds.
