Wow you've had an even longer wait (so far). That sucks. I get the feeling that Nov./Dec. 2018 applicants are just getting their files transferred to VOs now in July/August, and *hopefully* for us not-so-lucky Jan 2019 applicants that are stuck in this unusual timeline, we start getting our BILs and files transferred sometime in August or September too. One can hope that's the case anyway. Keep us posted on here if you get any news or updates.

It’s usually few of those files who go to London or Mexico. Others move much faster with the transfer...

We are the same. We have heard nothing since the end of March and our timeline is similar :

January 8, 2019 application delivered

February 27, 2019 application accepted email

March 26, 2019 requested biometrics

March 27, 2019 sponsor approved

March 27, 2019 requested medical exams

March 29, 2019 submitted medical exams and biometrics

It's tough isn't it. Brutal is almost an understatement - it's weeks and weeks of impatience and anxiety without hearing anything, your future plans with loved ones all up in the air. I feel like they can seriously improve this process by having a bit more transparency and feedback as to where our applications are currently at and what stage they're in at all times. And of course, hire more agents and set up more VOs to reduce the overall waiting times and backlogs.

All I can say is keep the faith, stay patient, and keep us posted if you hear anything or get any updates.

I'll do the same if I get any news on my end.

I contacted them. That was just my biometrics. Most people have got approvals...and my application is still in Sydney. They said my file will be transferred to Mexico but didn't say when. It is really disheartening to know that it hasn't even been transferred. The consensus seems to be that it takes a lot of time after it is transferred. I wish I could see

Honestly they need to be transparent and do what they can to speed up this process, an application can't just be sitting at a visa office collecting dust when there are people waiting to be with their loved ones. My app transferred to a notoriously slow VO and 2 months have made my patience run its course, i can only imagine what you must be going through. Hopefully they do most of your app processing now so when its transferred it just a matter of weeks that you get your PPR.

Honestly they need to be transparent and do what they can to speed up this process, an application can't just be sitting at a visa office collecting dust when there are people waiting to be with their loved ones. My app transferred to a notoriously slow VO and 2 months have made my patience run its course, i can only imagine what you must be going through. Hopefully they do most of your app processing now so when its transferred it just a matter of weeks that you get your PPR.

I just put in a request to see the officers notes so I have a better idea of what is happening but I hope this doesn't slow the process more.

I did it two days ago myself. I'm sure it won't slow it down in any case, its a right to information after-all.

It wasn't for biometrics. I just talked with vfs and they said those messages were sent by mistake. They also spelled the name wrong of my child. They seem to make a lot of mistakes. But we just worry because we thought the application would be done in time to enroll the children in school in September. It will be difficult to switch schools from different countries half way through

Oh I understand . I thought I would see more progress as well over the summer . Just praying here everything happens fast. I wanted my husband to start school in September so that we could be in school together at the same time but looks like he will need to wait for the following year to start his program.

My husband's application was transferred in March and he just got his medical request yesterday.

We are still waiting. I don't understand how they work. It doesn't make sense to me.

I had to stop checking multiple times per day, I’m slowing going crazy waiting... just have to be thankful it’s in process and that we have anywhere up to 5 more months to hear back....
