Hello Sharat,

Congratulations !!

Couple of quick questions:

2 ids: Driving License & Health Card?

Verification of Entry and Exit Dates: How did they do this? What exactly was the sequence of events? Do we need to carry anything with us?

Job History Verification: How did they do this? Do we need to carry anything with us?

Any English Language Verification?

Hi Sid,

I had taken following documents with me:
1. Print out of the application form
2. print out of Physical presence form
3. The notice they sent for test date/ time and Prohibition form signed and dated
4. All of my passports
5. Driving License
6. PR Card
7. Health Card
8. My Degree and the certificate of Medium (English proficiency). Basically carry whatever you submitted along with your application submission
9. Carried my office ID badge, just in case they ask for proof I was working. You could carry latest pay stub as well


It was like this:

1. We gave the test and after that proctor/ invigilator collected the question booklet and answer sheet. Asked me to wait outside in the hall
2. After some time, an officer called out my name and asked me to come in the room.
3. She asked for 2 piece of ID and my passports
4. She gave me y results and said I passed the exam
5. Then she started verifying entry/ exit stamps in my passport and cross reference with the physical presence form. After she was satisfied with all the entries, she asked where I am working
6. I had changed my job since submitting the application and told her so. She made an entry in my application form she had with her
7. She handed over the documents back and said that we will be contacted within 4 weeks on the next steps/ oath ceremony details (i presume)
8. I collected all documents and came out

It might be different for different people.
Guess it depends on the officer what they want to talk about.
Its always better to carry more documents rather than saying I dont have it on me at this time.

This is exactly why I had these questions. When Sharat mentioned 'they verified', how exactly did they verify? Like, do they ask questions? At location, we won't have the whole list of our employers with exact dates nor will we have our entry and exit dates...

Remember, it's going to be an anxious time for us, having just completed an exam. I just desire to be better prepared to answer everything correctly and present any papers they may request or need to verify.

Even I was wondering why she was doing this in the interview physically.
But what can we say. She cross referenced the dates with Physical Presence form. Maybe to see if I had mentioned everything in the form or not.

after reading your post, i was intrigued.
You mentioned completing an exam ! What exam was that ? Citizenship exam ? or any other exam ?
This interview I was talking about was immediately after the citizenship test we gave

Its getting frustrated now. Its my 13 months anniversary and nothing yet happen with our application. Our PR card expired already, I even contacted my MP to assist me for the inquiry what happen to our application. Some of my friends who applied August 2018 got there citizenship already. I applied June 25, 2018 but still here waiting. How they process this application is really frustrating.

That is the big WHY? WHEN? and WHO? Should we contact again to help us in the process. THE BIG Answer will be "Put more WAIT and WAIT...WAIT and again WAIT.

Today is my 13 months anniversary. still a long wait to come...very frustrating but what else can we do. when you call, they will just say, "we send already letter to the processing centre" and then I asked " base on your experienced when you write a letter to the processing centre, how long you will receive any response from the processing centre..they answered 2 months...I said WHAT????? I will wait again for 2 months for your reply? OMG, what a system.... why some province its just take 6 months...8 months...some even 5 months. But here in Toronto some takes 2 yrs...but some takes only 8 months. What the good system they have.

But what we can do.....just WAIT...WAIT...and more W

Worse in my case:
Acknowledgement: May 17, 2018.
Started processing: July 17, 2018.
Since then, nothing, I mean just nothing!!!!

I am also in the same situation waiting for the Test Invite. I am hopeful that more and more July applicants will start receiving Test Invite in toward mid- to late Aug. if not sooner. At least recently, we have seen some July applicants received their Test Invite.
