Hi Guy`s, I live in Québec and sponsoring my husband from sri-lanka. i have
submit my file in oct 2018 and
returned resubmit in 22jan 2019.
all the process in quebec are done even
got CSQ on 29May2019-
file transfered to colombo start process 09Apr19

still waitting ... havn`t received any news of process is that normal ?
people who have submit there file after us got for fingerprint and waitting for medical now...
but for us still no sign of any movement !

I can't seem to understand the reason for the lack of movement either, and I know it's so frustrating to go through this wait period. I too originally submitted my application in October but got returned back for missing a signature and resubmitted on February, 2019. I just got my medical request a few weeks ago. You might want to email the Colombo office and inquire about it. They might not replay back but I say it's worth the shot. Don't do a web inquiry because you won't get anything. Just shoot them an email. All the best ! I hope you hear something back soon!

I applied for my spousal sponsorship PR on March
Got my biometrics on May 10th
Gave the biometrics on May 22nd
And still waiting for my medical
We applied directly without any lawyer, we were told we will get a mail for medical two months after biometrics but still we haven't received any... So can anyone please help me with this like how long it'll take to get a medical letter,
P. S I happen to meet a girl when giving biometrics we both happen to submit our application within days apart we both are waiting for the medical

yoge is right. I applied in Feb, 2019 and I just got my medical this month. Just hang in there, it will come.

Usually medical will request after file transfer
If your file transfer to CHC ITS took another 3 to 5 month for request medical

Yes my file has been transferred to colombo, on May 9th and (I got the biometrics letter on May 10th) after that only they asked me to give biometrics
So it'll take 3-5 months to get the medical coz we were told that we will get it after 2 months... Thank you yoge

my medical is expiring end of august and just got passport request ..will it mean i have to be in canada by end of august OR just need to get visa stamped by medical expiry date? or is it case by case.

Congrats for your PPR
you must need to landed before your medical expiry in some case visa officer will extend your medical validity for few months .
now cool and submit your passport to vfs

After allowed our hearing on November 2018, Colombo CHC Visa post requested our documents on February 2019 and mailed all needed documents on March (Medical, schedule A, PCC etc). To-date we didn't hear anything from VO or IRCC. Could any one in this forum tell us how long it will take to get our PPR.

I also colombo VO we won our appeal last month 14th and file reopen 25th this month now waiting for new Pcc and other additional document . By the way which visa office request your medical and pcc ? Colombo or Ottawa ?
I think you can contact your mp to about your this situation. And order your gcms note then you can find what’s going on your application.

Colombo Visa Post / reason for our refusal is Marriage is not genuine. Yes true but if we order GCMS notes it will take another month to receive. killing time
