Hi All, Just a quick question. My CRS score is 452. To increase this I have applied for ECA for my spouse qualifications. She has done her Bachelors in Engineering which is a 4 year degree. Is it sure that I will get 8 points for this?

I am not that positive towards getting picked today. Even if the cut-off is 458 I am very likely to lose to the tiebreaker as there are so many 458ers since that 470 draw in May. On top of that, OINP tech draw on July 12 is adding 1600+ candidates with CRS of 1000+ in the upcoming months.

Friend even if they have tech draw of 1600, non of the applications will be approved until late August or septembrr as it takes 30 to 60 days to get approval. By August 7th they wouldn't have gotten approval. The effect is minimal all thru August. Pls be positive

Guys would really appreciate some help and clarity on this.
I did some research in this forum and seems you can put them in separate entries (same NOC or different NOCs) or all-in-one (only if same NOC). (Experts, correct me if I am wrong..)

Make sure you have reference letter clearly listing each period, title and job duties.

I'll go first. The biggest motivator for me is financial benefits for my family. I come from a working-class family and my parent's took a huge gamble by providing a nincompoop like me a world-class education. This meant that they sacrificed their life savings to get me going and realistically I do not think I could re-up their savings if I earn in my home country ( unless I do something nefarious ) within their lifetime, so hopefully in the next few years of frugal living should enable me to provide financial stability to my family. I also aspire to travel across the world (Canadian passport is excellent for that), explore potential entrepreneurial opportunities ( access to Small Business funding and incubators, etc), have access to subsidized healthcare and I love cold climates ( the colder the better).
I can absolutely understand that
My father too is from a very small City and all his investment is on me.
Things were different in the beginning of the year, I wasn't earning but 2 job switches and I'm at a comfortable level now, so doubts are seeping in, mostly along the lines of " why to leave now when life just got better (financially)"

Are u married, kids, btw?

I think a huge factor is kids life and their kids life and the education and exposure they would get and not to mention the global access that comes with the passport

What else guys?

NOC 0124 (Marketing professionals) was picked in January and May for Ontario PNP. So, not sure by when they'll start rolling out invites to this NOC again.

Please see if NOC 0124 fits your spouse profile, then you guys have some hopes to get it. Good luck!

You would need to do bit of research from your end, to understand NOC 6314 is in demand in other states or not. Please check states website for more details. Good luck!

Yeah the only thing i am worried about is the date of submission.
I am not sure weather they consider an application submitted just 8 days ago for the draw.
Of course they will consider yours. It doesn't matter as long as you are in the pool! The only thing that matters regarding the date is if you score is the minimum score demanded which will result to inviting candidates with and older profile creation date than yours.
