MMR vaccines in St. Lukes Bocobo was confusing before. I had my brother-in-law's medical done there in 2014, but he was never asked to do the MMR. Then a husband's friend went on the same year, but was asked to do the vaccine. Then another friend went to IOM, and was told MMR is not pre-requisite for IRCC.

As far as I know, MMR and full immunization records is only required for minors who will enter secondary and gradeschool, esp. those who were sponsored under Family class and will be landing as immigrant.
Gulo po nila no? Basta kmi when we were asked about it, we complied. Wala nmn po kami magagawa. The only option we had was to follow the order. :)

Yes. Magulo sila. That's why I recommended other friends to go to IOM instead.

Sorry to say this, but I think, they are just making money on these stuff.

Imagine, my brother-in-law's medical results said he has active TB. So he has to under go medications for 6 months. Worst case was he needs to go to St. Lukes Bocobo everyday so they are the one who will give the medicines. Pero pag holiday, they can give the meds in advance.

I suppose the patient has TB.
Some patients are asymptomathic. Xrays will show TB infections and it must be treated right aways coz it is a serious infectious disease.

Yes, they said he has TB. But the fact that you have to go there everyday to take the medicine for 6 months, but if it's holiday, you can take home the meds, was a bit questionable and confusing db.

You can take home the meds pala, so why waste money, time, and effort to drive all the way back to hospital everyday.

To add more, my friend's dad went on the same case but he was just prescribed medicines to take. So talagang confusing dyan sa Bocobo.

I don't remember exactly how much the fees were kasi when I checked my online banking, hindi naka-breakdown. Basta from what I remember, na--underestimate ko 'yung conversion from PHP to CAD + the fees when I did a wire transfer to the Canadian bank for GIC. Halos 14,000 'yung overbudget ko because biglang bumagsak 'yung piso tapos mas mataas 'yung fees since may intermediary bank (which was Citibank), which acts as a "middle man" to move funds from BPI to the receiving Canadian bank.
I used metrobank wire transfer and it was cheaper. I transferred 300k plus to niagara college thru CIBC and the transfer cost me rougly 3k pesos only. I am happy with metrobank it was an easy transaction, less hassle and the officer will handle all the transactions with politeness and they were very accomodating.

Pera pera lang sila sa totoo lang. May immunization pa (as per direction daw ni Canada to all people entering), hepa test (for those with piercings), may pregnancy test pa ata (narinig ko lang sa katabi ko)..etc. mga naka 17k cguro ako buti sana kung mura sila mag charge. Naalala ko nanaman inis ko nung nagpamedical ako. Haha. sorry.

Oh wow. That was awesome. With my tuition at the University of Alberta, there was no intermediary bank kasi e, so I thought it would be the same for the GIC. When I paid my tuition, BPI only charged me 2500ish PHP for the service fee. Apparently not the same for GIC. Kasi with my tuition, U of A asked to be paid in USD so BPI didn’t have to use an intermediary bank, whereas the Canadian bank for the GIC requested money to be wired directly in CAD, hence the steep fees. Also, BPI can really be a pain in the butt most times. I just have no choice coz both my checking and savings are with them

Ohmygosh, ang mahal pala sa St. Luke’s? To think namamahalan na ‘ko sa 10k na binayad ko sa IOM. Kabado rin ako non kasi sabi, you could pay more daw if the physician recommends other tests or certain treatments. Sa incidentals pa lang talaga ang laki na ng gastos

gwentysomething,

I had my MMR booster shot at St. Lukes Bocobo back in 2014. My siblings and I were asked to get that vaccine. So, we all got the vaccine the same day. This year, when I and my wife (plus two kids) had our medical at St Lukes BGC, we were told that MMR booster shot is a requirement before submitting the medical results to IRCC. My MMR shot in 2014 was okay. My firstborn had the vaccine 2 years ago (we brought his baby book as proof). They had it photocopied. My youngest and my wife had their booster shot 4 days later. So, I had to bring back the vaccination certificate. I passed my medical on July 7th. My wife and my youngest son passed theirs on July 10th.

Anyway, I guess you dont have to worry about the vaccine. You passed the medical exam. Im not just sure if your uni/college will ask for your immunization history.
Alright! Thank you so much for answering. :)
