Acknowledgement of Receipt: November 27, 2018
Sponsorship Approval: December 11, 2018
Medical Request: December 11, 2018
Medical Passed: December 20, 2018
Forwarded to Mexico: January 28, 2019
Acknowledgement from Mexico: February 20, 2019
Background Check Started: July 16, 2019
Pre-Arrival Services: July 16, 2019
Passport Request: July 18, 2019

how did you know that your background check started on 16th ? any notificatiton from them

That's when the status changed in GCKey. They never sent us a message or email about it.

I am from El Salvador my visa office is Mexico I arrived the pre arrival on June 20 and still do not ask for my passport but I am happy for you thank God they will be together

It changed to "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information." In fact, that's what it still says. GCKey hasn't been updated yet.
