Sounds like you're just waiting for PPR to be generated. I don't think they're waiting until your medicals expire to send PPR. Hopefully it gets generated soon so you have time to land before your medicals expire.
In certain cases, they extend the medicals at officer's discretion. In my case, I did my medicals in May 2018 and AOR Dec 2018. They extended the medicals in June 2019.

My CoPR is valid well after my medicals expire. I don't know why since I received PPR in like 120 days.

Can you file a complaint about this delay for no reason in any way? If someone's file is complicated and there is a delay it's understandable but the file not getting picked for 7.5 months is absurd. Is there like something wrong with some people that they get ignored for no effing reason?

Wow! That attitude is very negative. Canada is assessing each of us and allowing us to migrate there to live and work. None of us "deserve" more than the others, and the applications will be processed. Some take longer, and we must accept there are parts of it they cannot discuss for security reasons.

They say that 20% take longer than 6 months and that other timelines aren't available. I'm not sure who you plan on filing a complaint against, but you may want to re-evaluate the sentiment and unless something really unusual happens, Canada will be allowing you to live and work there in the near future.

Be hopeful, not vengeful!

Not to argue, But I disagree on this one with you... I am working in Canada from last 2 years, applied in CEC and now stuck with this process. The only concern everyone is having is why there's no transparency? My application is straightforward, but no one has accessed my file in last 6 months. Officers keeps on giving "Review Required" for silly reasons. Delay in Criminality/Security clearance is fine, but why review on Eligibility. It should be either passed or failed... If additional docs are required they should communicate to us....

Anyway we are keeping hope to get the request in couple of months, but we should be able to complaint otherwise IRCC would become DMV-where no one listens to anyone...

@USProgrammer give a discount that many people here are in different emotional breakdowns. Gladly you already received your documents but many people here are still in this agony waiting for a response.

I bet that all of us deposit the best feelings about Canada and Canadian People. That's why we are making a huge change in our lives from our home countries to embrace a new culture and a new life and of course, we are thankful for Canada receiving us as new residents and maybe new citizens in the future.

I understand that each one translates your feelings in certain ways, sometimes harsh or not fair, but let's keep the peace in this thread, there is already too much stress to administer here.

Wow, the response. Just because your application got processed, doesn't mean the entire process is fair and transparent. Not sharing details for security is one thing and not having to even look at the file is the other. And sure, none of us deserves it more than the others that is the very concern I'm sharing. My file was stuck in Ottawa for 4.5 months with no progress then it has been transferred to London with no progress at all and then you see people with AOR in MAY, 2019 receiving PPR. So, instead of making a cool speech, try to understand and come up with a better response.

And FYI, both parties are beneficiaries to this immigration transaction. it's not a favour that they allow people to live and work there. They need such qualified workers to sustain their economy and they take highly skilled individuals, not peasants.

This is post PPR. Just called IRCC helpline. I had sent my documents to Ottawa (Passport sent - Jun 25; Passport delivered (Fedex) - Jun 26).

They said Visa has been printed and CoPR has not been done yet. What does that mean? Does that mean passport photos have been accepted?
@USProgrammer or other experienced folks, any idea?

Thanks!

My status on the EE portal changed to Approved once CoPR was sent back, for what it's worth. I didn't have a visa to print, so I can't be of much help there (US is visa-free to Canada).

Thanks brother :)

I was wondering how CoPR is different from Visa printed...

P.S. Good luck with the barrage on your earlier comment, haha :p

Im calling BS on this. There is absolutely no equality in this transaction. Canada is a great country founded on great principles with industry and services built upon the shoulders of giants. Who, exactly, is Jazy3313? Why should Canada stop for you?

These people are overworked, and likely underpaid. These people are conscientious, and, if you pay attention, one in the few places on earth left where human dignities or the environment actually matter, or where people of good standing can speak to power, and live freely to speak again. Against this, sorry, but who are you again?

Check your entitlement. Check yourself before you mess yourself.
