Man I feel sorry for you ! BTW you should have provided addtitional documents if you had any to support your claim if you did not do it please do it as soon as possible as the agent may reconsider your application, I have seen people's application getting refused in the past and it was re-looked after a CSE Web-form was raised with relevant documents to support the claim.

Also, with regards to your gcms notes did you lose points or something.

i think the biggest quality a person can have is to be happy....truth is people are happy or sad as they decide it to be...happy that you have this quality

Is there any way other than GCMS to find out if you are just under security screening or there is a genuine problem with your application? It's about 9 month since my submission and the only official update I've recieved so far is the medical. Over my second call, the CIC agent said that my eligibility is review required (several month ago and she didn't provide more info about it). And now I know that my application is awaiting the review of an officer.

i am the most aggravated guy here but at the same time i am also the most sissy guy here after i read my noc inconsistent and RR in gcms...you know that we are being manhandled my ircc but even then we cant do anything....as much as i want to ...i can say a darn thing on the phone...okay thank you very much for your precious time and have a good day!!....so painful every time i say this to the agents

That was the last update.
I called several months ago.. eligibility had moved from met to review required.

I called again 3 days ago and I was told that my eligibility is "Recommended Pass " which is the final stage of eligibility review.
Security / Criminality is however yet to start.

I asked nicely if I could have a Bring forward date, since it's been 2 months since mine had passed. So she obliged and I got an email stating that my application is in a queue awaiting processing.

GCMS is the best way to get an update about your application. In my case, I realised that when I moved to IP2 on March 12, the officer also put my application as "Review Required." I came to know of this only when I received my notes in May.

Had I not asked for those notes, I would not have been able to send my revised work ex letters for their review. So, if you want details, it is best to ask for the notes. While you are waiting, it is possible your application may go through in the meantime. But, if nothing has moved after the 10th month, you would be more irritated with the situation!

Then, the file was opened in March 2018 and the "Case Analyst" mentioned "Review Required," so now waiting to know what happens after that.

so we're clocking 9months on 26th and no movement since eligibility met on November 16th 2018. I've decided to move on but its not easy because most plans depend on this pr. Anyways, I hope we all get this month!

Guys I emailed my situation to Ralph on Saturday and received reply today.
Same bulshit..

I spoke to IRCC regarding your application received Oct 24, 2018. It is at the Case Processing Centre in Ottawa.

Standard processing time is 6 months. This means 80% of routine applications are completed within that time frame, while 20% take longer.


Eligibility is met.

Criminality and security checks have not been initiated. They cannot be expedited and timelines are not available.

Medicals are valid until Oct 12, 2019.


So everyone know how CIC employees work. Even Indian government employees are better than them.
