As per Ontario's website its mandatory to get reference letter from each employee. Source - https://www.ontario.ca/document/oinp-document-checklists/ontarios-express-entry-human-capital-priorities-stream-applicant-checklist
I asked my current employer for the letter and they asked me why I need it. The moment I tell them why I may need it, everything can go south from there. I would be killing all future appraisals and opportunities at the organization.

Yes, it's mandatory to get the reference letter for last 10 Years of your work experience.
Just simply let them know that you're looking out for better career opportunities & standard of life, hence trying for Canada immigration. There is no harm in telling the truth. Ask yourself, do you really care about your future appraisals which won't exist once you've Canada PR.
Be smart and act wisely!
Ontario immigration must be able to confirm your ECA results with the organization that completed it. This means you must authorize the organization to share the results with them (the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program). To authorize to see your ECA report:
1. Comparative Education Service - you need to fill out a consent form
2. World Education Services - Order a copy of your ECA report online and indicate the “OINP” as the recipient of the report
Note: For the other organizations, no additional steps are required. Ontario can confirm directly.
With my luck.. there r chances something to go wrong at the very last moment..
And once they know, they may let me go in the next downsizing..
I don't want to mess up things here.. is there any other scenario where similar letter is required?
Is there any news on when OINP starts sending NOI. Will it happen between some start date or end date; or is it an ongoing process until requirement is met. Also, any idea on what basis they are picking profiles from EE pool. I am having CRS 414, NOC 2173; Is there any hope for getting OINP NOI?

So, the much awaited tech draw has happened today. Since there are so many applicants getting NOI today from Ontario for the tech NOCs.
Tech guys, please check your CIC inbox, you must have received NOI for sure.

The NOI report is yet to publish, will be available hopefully by tomorrow!

I ordered an additional copy of my assessment to be delivered to OINP office. Will that be ok?
Got a NOI from Ontario today....I am still in shock. Anybody know what the processing time is looking like for OINP in 2018/19?
