Don't worry should be okay. Which school are you going to attend by the way ? Your major ?I'm really not sure.. just my own observation. I'm from Ottawa and i'm just praying I don't get any updates saying they require FP cause I'm hoping to get all this citizenship stuff out the way before I start school in September

There must be reason to request FP.. If your name match with any criminal record then they request for FP to clarify everything but its easy and smooth so relax...I am also from Calgary, AOR received on 14 May. Still waiting for the "In Process".
May i know why do they ask for the Finger Prints ? They pick random applicants or there must be some reason ?
It is very common. If your name matches even remotely with someone on their watchlist, they will ask for fp. I am always stopped at Canadian airport for security clearance . They take around 30 minutes to clear me after checking with different agencies only because my name most probably matches with someone.I am also from Calgary, AOR received on 14 May. Oh wow! I just read in another post from February, the person have recently done the Cit test and passed but he said the officer informed him that his security clearance is yet to come through and could take up to a year from the date he applied. i pray to God these scenarios don't come my wayIt is very common. Lol i'm clueless on all these issues. an educated guess would be yes but then again IRCC aren't really transparent as to what they do behind the scenes.. their mouths are shut tight. One of the more seasoned applicants might be awareWhat security clearance do they look for ? Do they look into the time before we got PR also ? Or after PR ?
Does security clearance means criminal records ?
