Hello friend. My application was recieved on march 1st. Had recieved AOR on 2nd may. Location Hamilton. But till now hasn't gone in process. I am in the same boat as you. I check ecas every day 2 times.

Why would it be country of origin!!!

I'm quite sure they want FP here..

Because for some people if they’ve spent more than 6 months in any country in the last 4 years then they should get FP from this country, in my case I submitted them already and it took me 4 months to get it done from the embassy that’s why i was asking
If it’s FP for here in Canada then I wouldn’t worry because they don’t spend ages to get it done

I think we need to stop getting confused on fingerprint. That is not a police clearance. So, it is an invalid statement to say that, "IRCC would expect fingerprint from the country of origin or some other country......" That's your fingerprint. That is it. You need to manage to get the fingerprint from wherever it is convenient for you.

Practically speaking, your current country of residence would be most convenient, wouldn't it? One visit to a local police station and, whether dipped in ink or scanned electronically, it is a matter of 10 fingers.

Just to let you guys know, my father passed away last week, and as because there is no way to renew my Syrian passport, I have requested an update to my file to be processed as "Urgent".
Has anybody been through this kind of situation were s/he applied for urgent processing after applying and while the application is In Process?
How long does it take for them to change my application?
Do they change the whole family application or only mine?

I mailed documents on MAR 16, and on MAY 20, I received my documents back because I missed some information,so I corrected it, and resentded soon. Not AOR now, still waiting,.,..,.
