Finally my mother-in-law Application is approved.

Timeline of my Mother-in-law's Super Visa Application:

Application Submitted Online - May 30, 2019
Application Received - May 30, 2019
Biometrics Collection Letter - May 31, 2019
Biometrics Done - June 5, 2019
Medical Request - June 6, 2019
Medical Exam done - June 10, 2019
Medical Passed - June 20, 2019
Correspondence Letter - June 26, 2019.
Passport Request - June 26, 2019.
Passport Submission - June 28, 2019
Approved Super Visa Notification - July 2, 2019
Passport ready for pick up - July 2, 2019

Vac office in Manila, Philippines.

I thought her application will be denied. What happened is she has a current multiple visitor visa and she stayed with us here in Canada for 2 years since Feb 2017 - Feb 2019 and we keep extending her stay every 6 months then we wanted her to stay another 6 months before her stay expires on Feb 2019 but she got refused of her extension. So she went back home to Philippines and we waited until we apply her on May 2019 because her multiple visa will be expiring on Oct 2019. I was worried because i thought that her application has no chance of getting approve because she just stayed with us for straight 2 years but good thing her application was approve.

Hi there!

Congratulations for the supervisa and thanks for sharing your experience.

I am in a tough spot myself. Hence, writing to you for some additional information.

I have a few questions here:

1. So, for the 3 extensions she got between Feb 2017 and Feb 2019, did you guys do the process yourself? I mean apply yourself online or on paper? Or did you consult an immigration consultant? For every application or when?

2. Can you share the reasons you mentioned in these 3 extensions that were approved? For each one of them?

3. What all documents did you submit for these 3 approved extensions? Fom your/ your wife's and your mom in law's end?

4. What's her home country? Does she have any ties to her home country? I mean did you show ties? Or did you show that she is dependent on her daughter (your wife)?

5. Any other useful insights please?
