I'm applying for the TWP because my employer needs me to start working as soon as possible. I will apply for the PR inland. PR can take 4-6 months or even more to be processed. But it's up to you. Both scenarios are possible.
In that case employer must have an agent who can handle your TRP or at least tehy have some contact which you can approach i believe

@amit1984 Hi how is the progress on your file going on? Did you receive ‘pre arrival letter’ yet? I am asking this because i want to know the average time between ‘pre arrival’ and PPR stage. Because i have read that IRCC only send pre arrival after eligibility and criminality is passed. Then only ‘security’ stage is left which is done by CSIS.
Hi @Connectuae I got the AOR on 19th March and pre-arrival on 22nd March. So not sure if my eligibility and criminality was passed when it was sent. Before two weeks when I called CIC they said my file is at NDVO and eligibility, criminality, medical and background are passed but waiting for final approval. I also got three ghost updates after medical. First one after medical passed, 2nd on May 7th and the last one on May 28th. But its June 22nd and no sign of golden email yet.

Thanks for sharing. Like you said you got ghost update few weeks back i think that was for your security completion. Mostly its said that third ghost update is DM and it is followed by PPR email. Best of luck.

Hi everyone,

My question is to who applied for the TWP only (not PR).

1) How long after receiving the biometrics acknowledgement letter, your visa was processed?

2) Is the embassy/consulate requesting police check for work permit applications? This is not required on the work permit (AIPP) document checklist.

3) Did everyone receive the RPRF fee request? In the affirmative, was your PR processed along with work permit application? And how long did it take to process?

All applicants outside Canada: please kindly share your work permit application timeline.

Huge thanks!

Hey
Can anyone tell. Does the pei province issue second endorsement or given extension on the first one , once the Pr has been refused on the first endorsement.
They will not give extensions, they will issue a new endorsement for another 6 month period. When I approached them they had just received a new allowance of endorsements so I was very fortunate otherwise I could have been in for a wait before my PR app could have been re-submitted.

All,

HELP please. I've applied to the TWP at NYC VFS (paper). I did the medical upfront, received the biometrics validity letter last friday and today I received a message that my processed decision envelope is ready to pick up at the VFS. I'm very concerned since I haven't received a passport request. But since I'm not applying for the PR now I am not sure if they need to stamp anything on my passport. Thoughts?

Call IRCC and know about the decision. Every visa office has their own checklist of requirements for TRV. The strange thing about this program is if we apply wp IRCC assess our ties with the country of residence and home country l. And when we apply for PR they assess our intention to stay in designated atlantic province.

Thanks a lot, Connectuae. I went to the VFS today to pick up my decision envelope, and it was actually a PPR request.
