The good news is that a CO is looking at your file. :) Also, you gained a few days sending the form before the CO's request.

My guess is that the CO assigned to your file sent the second email without knowing you already sent the form. As the first email says, your form will be forwarded to the CO...hopefully, very soon. :)

@YamPower should disregard the form she/he sent in and follow the directions and include the letter and the missing form. One single piece of paper often gets lost when not linked to your UCI number or other confirmation numbers. Better to wait for CIC to contact you and submit it that way.

Sorry to hear that.

This is why hiring professionals to get it done properly and checked properly is worth it. No sleepless nights for me.

I hope it works out for you.
You're exactly who I was thinking of when I didn't want to post that I missed something. True to form you had to rub it in. Thanks for the well wishes anyway.

That's exactly what I'm going to do. Especially because I need to include the letter. Also, web form wasn't noted as a submission method, they gave me the option of an email address and a mailing address.

Yeah I think that's exactly what happened. Or maybe the letter was already generated and then sent out in a scheduled batch before he or she saw the form.

If people miss a form or signature they usually have a chance to correct the error and resubmit. You were stressing for nothing. The big issue is when people never qualified in the first place but submit their application.
I'll explain why it was extra stressful when it's all over, regardless of the outcome.

Lawyers and consultants also make mistakes. They are also human and miss things. Some are just not as invested in the process as actual family members. Weren’t you just worrying that your application would be late and wondering if you could be granted an extension? Your application seems to had bumps like others. Many got a spot and submitted a perfect application without needing to hire someone. They didn’t need a lawyer so didn’t hire one. If you felt you needed a lawyer to secure your spot and wanted to spend the money that is your prerogative. Some lawyers didn’t secure a spot for their clients. Both ways worked or didn’t work out for people.

Major Update:

I just got a letter via email from CPC Mississauga (I'm based in Toronto if that matters). I missed the IMM5406 Additional Family Information form.

I realized that I missed the form last week Friday June 14. I don't know how I missed it but I realized that I did when I read a message here about an applicant not adding her sister and I wondered what the hell they were talking about. Imagine, I went through the forms and checklist over and over and still missed a form. Unbelievable.

Anyway, I sent IMM5406 via web form on Saturday June 15. Of course I didn't say anything on the forum because I didn't feel like being lambasted for mailing my application days after getting ITA (got it on April 24 and they received the application package on April 30) and then missing something. But I decided to share because the letter has a couple points of clarification.

Today, June 21 at 4:04 PM EDT, I got an email from CE CSC Do Not Reply confirming that they got the form and they'll forward it.

Also today June 21 at 7:09 PM EDT, I got the letter from CIC.CPCMississaugaDoNotReply saying that they don't have the form.

o_O o_O o_O

"If you cannot provide one or more of the requested documents, you must provide a detailed written explanation for each missing document. You must also provide any other evidence or documents you have available to satisfy the requirement." This is pretty standard IRCC wording but the parts below

"You have 30 calendar days from the date of this letter to submit the documentation requested. When you submit your documentation, please ensure that this letter is included in the package. If your application meets the requirements for processing, it will then be placed in the processing queue based on the date on which you submitted an application that was determined to be complete."

further down the letter says

"If you fail to respond to this request within the timeframe specified above, your application will be returned to you. Your sponsorship application, and any related permanent residence application, will not be processed or be put in queue for processing under the PGP cap for 2019. You will not be issued another invitation to apply."

This whole process has been excruciating for me. There are nights when I didn't sleep because I thought I made a mistake. I started a new job on Monday April 29 and didn't sleep on the Sunday or Monday nights due to anxiety over the application.

There's a lot more about this application that I will share when it's all over. Let's see what happens.

key points from this:

1. If you miss something or made an error, wait for the CIC response
2. You have to mail the CIC response within 30 days
3.Your peocessing time is now gettting longer

I think you are being a bit insensitive here.

Good for you that you hired someone that took care of all of the paperwork, but not everyone can afford to hire a lawyer/immigration professional. Also, there is never a guarantee that a hired professional will not make any mistakes.

We are all here to support and help each other and our only goal is to reunite with our parents/grandparents in Canada in the near future, so let's stick to that.

Cheers.

I spoke to a registered consultant and I had way more knowledge of the program and forms than she did. They're not all effective
