Hey Everyone
I recently got my Study Permit for Fall 2019. I was lucky to get it in 10 days under Non-SDS. Maybe because I applied early.

My profile:
B.tech in IT 70%
7 years experience in Digital Marketing
8.5 on IELTS

Got admission at McGill University in an Arts Masters course. I noticed that people often post queries here but there are seldom posts with a follow up on what happened. And there are not many who post the complete timeline of the process.

Below is mine if it can help someone. I will check on this post whenever possible and respond to reasonable questions.

Remember guys. The standard processing time is 45 days but it actually depends on a LOT of variable. Just ensure to get your paperwork right. Leave the rest to the good folks at IRCC and maybe some luck.

Hi
I applied on 27th May under university category from India. Biometrics request on 28th May. Updated biometrics on 31st May. Got student acknowledgement letter on 10th June. No more updates after that. Any idea how long it would take? My classes start IN September.

Hey, Did you apply online? If yes, what is a student acknowledgement letter?

Hi, thanks for sharing the details.
Can you share your SOP that you submitted for visa? I too have approx 7 years work experience and I am really confused how to present my case for visa. My email is nitinich@gmail.com.
