Still no change in my status.
After a check with more people who went trough the process, the DNA aspect is probably not my problem.
Anyone else who submitted there application for proof of citizenship in the last few months and would like to share the timeline and the process he/she had?
Any advice from other people?

Can anyone help me on getting a better understanding about my application please. I applied last year, I've received my AOR but no further updates
  1. We received your application for a citizenship certificate (proof of Canadian citizenship) on May 24, 2018.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on July 6, 2018
ThatTh all I have received so far

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/canadian-citizenship/proof-citizenship/apply/urgently.html

If you don't meet any of the provided reasons, then you can not apply for urgent processing. If your application was sent to Program Support, then you will have to wait 24 months until further action can be taken by IRCC at your request.

Ok! They did state that my application was sent to program support unit (PSU). My mom had pass off and my siblings are in the U.S and my dad is in Canada. I don't have any close relatives in Jamaica with me. Also am trying to get in the Canadian army but I have to prove that am a citizen first.

For those who have claims on canadian citizenship by descent, can we go to canada for tourism while proof of canadian citizenship application is in process? Can we apply for tourist visa?
