Here is some resourceful information:

  1. General Glossary:
    Express Entry Process
EE - Express Entry: Canada's score-based program for economic immigrants (DOES NOT APPLY TO US)
CRS - Comprehensive Ranking System: System for ranking candidates for EE (DOES NOT APPLY TO US)
ITA - Invitation to Apply: an invitation to apply for permanent residence (DOES NOT APPLY TO US)
e-APR - electronic Application for Permanent Residence: the online application for PR after receiving an ITA (DOES NOT APPLY TO US)

    General Process (Applies to all)
AOR - Acknowledgement of Receipt (of application): email confirming receipt of your application after you submit and pay your fees
ADR - Additional Document Request: IRCC sends a message asking you to provide a specific document to supplement your application
ME - Medical request: IRCC sends a message asking you to provide medical
MEP - Medical Passed: IRCC sends a message on your medical status, if you do not pass, you application will be denied. Sometimes they ask for additional medical exams.
PCC - Police Clearance Check: IRCC sends a message asking you to provide this document, usually from 10 to 60 days after MEP, this depends on each county (You can check more information in https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/medical-police/police-certificates.html)
RPRF - Right of Permanent Residence Fee: a fee collected as part of your PR application

  2. Post-submission stages:
    NA1
    - "Not Applicable" 1: Background check says "Not Applicable", usually right after submission.
MEP - Medicals passed: review of medical results changes from "You do not need a medical exam." to "You have passed the medical exam."

    Backgroud Process
    - It can take a short period or during all the application, in some cases up to 2 years. They check with their resources and your country tools credentials, work history, and the security check (Criminality)
IP1 - "In progress" 1: Background check changes to "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check." Usually follows MEP. Some applicants (especially inland and CEC) skip this stage.
NA2 - "Not Applicable" 2: Background check changes to "Not Applicable" again after IP1. Some applicants skip this stage and it is easily missed.
IP2 - "In progress" 2: Background check changes to "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information."
NA3 - "Not Applicable" 3: Background check changes to "Not Applicable" again after IP2 (uncommon)

    Ghost update
    - When you log in, the application says it's been "updated" but none of the fields have changed. Often considered a sign that PPR is coming soon. Not seen by all applicants. (e.g. https://mapleleafjourney.wordpress.com/2018/11/26/cic-ghost-update/)
PPR - Passport request: IRCC sends "Ready for visa" e-mail asking you to submit your documents to your visa office so they can issue your CoPR and entry visa if applicable.
CoPR - Confirmation of Permanent Residence: A document that says you've been approved for permanent residence.

These are not "official" stages, but they are used frequently throughout the forum to track processing of applications

Remember that IRCC can request anything they want in order to have a better understanding of your application. If you are Inlanded, here is the link where you need to go, once you received the letter you have 30 days to submit the information, the sooner the better. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/where-to-give-biometrics.asp

Hi Dear,
very good news,i hope all the best for you. I'm sending you as i guess you've been through most of the challenges ,therefor I'm seeking you kind help.

my Immigration representative (agency ) who is handling my case told me that that the paper based PR with Province nomination and Job offer take maximum 5-6 Month for PNP nominated application with Job offer ?

I need your kind support in some questions for people who have been through the same situation:

  1. paper based PR with Province nomination and Job offer take maximum 5-6 Month for PNP nominated application with Job offer ?my question: Is this true if we are assuimg that I will have a work permit and I will start working with the employer soon ?

because the CIC and most of the forums are stating that it will take long time?

2)In the paper-based PR checklist {IMM 5690}IS VERY CLEAR.in some forums people was saying that applicants should include their job offer in the list of document ,However the checklist is clear and it there is nothing mentioned in the form stating that i should submit the Job offer letter (its is clearly saying confirmation of nomination letter ).check the list below :

https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm5690e.pdf

3)the PR Checklist {IMM 5690} they mentioned that all the forms to be submitted as original (not scanned ).However ,my Immigration rep is located in Canada ,therefor he sent me the form {5476e use of representative )scanned over the email and then i signed it with my wife and attached it to the list of the forms.

My question is : are they going to me it a big a deal? or you have experience similar thing and thing went well ?
