Question 12. – Calculation of income based on the “Notice of Assessment”
12.A: Print the amount that appears at line 150 of the last Notice of Assessment issued to you by the CRA for the most recent taxation year.

12.B: Enter all of the following payments that were included in the amount at line 150 of your Notice of Assessment, add them up and print the total:

  • Provincial instruction or training allowance;
  • Social assistance paid by a province;
  • Guaranteed income supplement paid under the Old Age Security Act; and
  • Employment insurance: maternity, parental and sickness benefits paid under the Employment Insurance Act are considered income. Other payments such as employment insurance and federal training allowances are not considered as income.
12.C: Deduct the total entered at 12.B (line 6) from the amount at 12.A (line 1). The result 12.C is your total income as per this method of calculation.

You can use the same one. I have also used the translation of my birth certificate from 2014. I also called CIC for they and they confirmed that old translated copy copies can be used as long as they don’t have an expiry date.

Do we need to send a certified copy of the original document as well ?

You have to wait for the next 3 years (until 2022) when you reach the income required for 3 persons in the previous 3 years (2019, 2020, 2021) to able to sponsor your father.
Also he should not marry (should remain single) till 2022 so that family size is not increased... :p:D:p

If you want to extend her stay then you will need to pay the fee. There is no Guarantee if her stay will be extended as she had already extended her stay once. But you can try. It may take up to 2 years for Sponsorship. Keep in mind, she may need to get biometrics done and get police clearance from home country during the processing of the application.
Stay can perhaps be extended max up to 2 years in total..

I am no expert here, so do not take me for 100%.

Since I attached my mom passport (all pages), every time she travels abroad there is inbound and outbound stamp. And in the form, it clearly asked to not to leave any gap. This is the reason I report even if she traveled for 1-2 months (short trips).

I understand, but in my situation I have already submitted the documents. Don't think I should resubmit the whole thing just yet. Hopefully the CO will ask for it as an additional doc.

I don’t think they will refuse an application because you did not provide travel history.
They usually ask for it as an additional document.
I have read posts in 2018 thread about asking travel history.

I am sponsoring my mother (widow). Do I need to attach IMM 0008DEP form. I think no. Can anyone please confirm?

Also anyone including explanation letter regarding page size difference?

can someone please suggest.

In IMM1344, Should i put same date in all 3 digitally in the signature spaces and then ask my mother to sign or the date has to be different and in own handwriting ? or dates need to be different based on when it is signed ?

Oh.. i was ready as well but noticed forms updated now they show 06-2019. are you using updated forms ?

do not resubmit!
this is not grounds for refusal and sending travel history is not a requirement - though sending it ahead of time might save you time. IF the CO is interested in knowing he will request it at a later time.
