Hey all,
I know it is a very common question and also sure many of you already experienced this or heard it before.
In my situation, when I already have SA and received AOR 2, will that be a problem if I visit my spouse back home for 3 weeks? I am not a Canadian Citizen yet, so I know the rule is if Sponsor is a PR, he/she has to be in Canada while application is going on. Can anyone share his/her opinion and/or experience? Would be very helpful. (My application is in Singapore VO now)

I can see updated ECAS Medical result received . Cannot access GCKEY .my sponsor my husband ECAs march 27,2019 decision made. Waiting a mail until now not yet received . Biometric not yet done waiting for BIL . Paid already since march 15,2019.im a PA and residence uae but phil. Passport .

Hi there has there been any update with your file i am in same boat PA dependant last ecas update was medical received nothing since then no biometrics yet paid in january

Congrats to everyone that got ppr already. You all are so lucky. My husband received MR feb 19 but he had to do sputum test and culture takes 2 months to get result. June 4 he finally passed it. Now just waiting for next step. Hoping soon he will get ppr too!

Acknowledgment of Receipt. Its an email stating IRCC received your application and you get it only if your application is complete (some cases you don’t get that email but if you can link your file to GCkey and see it on ECAS as well as get any requests like BIO or Medicals, that counts as your application being complete).

Thanks. Did just that and it worked. Also turbo tax didn't work at all for me. Had to use simpletax and I could move forward.

A little late here but I was able to use TurboTax. I just had to enter zeros for the SIN.

Not really contributing anything but I just want to say congrats to those whose applications are moving along (or are finished)! I'm a bit sad that I haven't heard anything since mine was transferred to mississuaga in early April. ECAS has been dead and I check it every day. Sigh. My wife and I are definitely going to have a big celebration when this is all done. It's been such an anxiety-riddled process as we are both anxious people. We are hoping to have PR by Canada Day but I know that might not happen.

How are things going for you now? I acknowledge too that it’s a difficult waiting process. But we will all get through it, one way or another

Wondering if everyone from December group has had a file transfer notice now? I have done medical, biometrics, sent additional docs that were requested months ago and its like the whole thing has ground to a halt. Never had a file transfer notice, SA came through ages ago and ECAS shows in progress for PA. It says in GCKey that we are processing your background check. Does this likely mean that it has already been file transferred or not? Also when we had our request for additional docs we had to send them by email to CPC Missisauga? So confusing of a process! They also confirmed by web form that they received medical from me but it is still not showing as medical passed on GCKey!

I have not received a file transfer notice. However, when I called for help to link my application to my GC account and it wasn’t working, they told me it was likely because the file has been transferred and I would have to have my husband link it to his account. That was my hint that my file had been transferred without actually receiving any for of notification.
