Mine was on the longer side as well, I remember being one of the last on the Feb sheet to receive AOR and was also only given a temp number and the CIC agent was telling me the same as you. Then one day I got AOR, SA, bio, med request and a status update that they were working on the background check all within 24 hours! Dont lose faith it will come. If they were going to send it back they would have by now.

You are welcome, we are all in this together. :) It was around 4 weeks after CIC received my app that I got the temp number then at 55 days all came through with the permanent number. One Agent did tell me they could see they were working on background check while my file was still in temp status a few days before I got AOR.

Same here. I have not been waiting as lo g as you but still a long time. Received March 28. @k.h.p. any idea why they skip over first come first serve and jump months??. I call and they say its still in the prospective stage. I also have a temp number with an x. I feel so hopeless
I don't think there is a ' first come first serve option ' !
Seems some countries are processed faster for whatever reasons?
We waited over 3 months for AOR between Sydney and Mississauga whereas some applicants
the same month from other countries 50-60 days. Ours was straightforward.
If your application hasn't been returned. First step done.
Don't try to make sense of it........You are in for a long ride.

Agreed. First come first serve would NEVER work for Family sponsorship app processing. Imagine if there's an issue with an app or it requires a longer BG check - they would never pause every other app behind yours just to finish yours out. The whole process would take years and years if this was the case. Maybe they were mistaking it with the interest to sponsor for PGP.

In any case, don't worry about it for now. Almost every app goes through a period with no movement and no communication from CIC, yours just happened to fall on the AOR.

Hello, did you receive the AOR by now? If yes, is there something you did explicit with regards to contacting IRCC? I am awaiting the AOR.
