I'm planning to land in Canada this July on PR. My question is very specific and somewhat unusual. My parents will be in Dubai when I move to Canada, with my brother. My question is, Is it possible to take a flight from India to Dubai, get a transit visa and stay at my brother's place (on a 48 or 96 hour transit visa) and then take my flight from Dubai to Canada? I heard that a new policy allows you to stay in Dubai for up to 96 hours on Transit Visa as long as you have an onward journey to a different place and a ticket. Also, will it affect my entry in Canada in anyway? I could really use some help. Thanks.
