Nchang . I received a pre arrival email and I called the immigration to asked about the email I was told that it is send to everyone one it doesn’t mean you have been approved or not . Does anyone here knows what this email means . I submitted my application Feb 2018 it’s been 15 months and today I got a pre arrival email . Someone has this same experience

this is taken directly from CIC site on pre arrival service

You can get free in-person and online services, if:

• we approved your permanent residence application
• you’re currently outside Canada
• you have one of these documents:
  • a letter from us saying you can get pre-arrival services
  • a confirmation of permanent residence letter
  • a passport request letter that indicates Permanent Resident visa issuance
  • a letter from us asking for your medical exam results
  • a single-entry permanent resident visa
  • a letter from us letting your know you can pick up your permanent resident visa

Yes it doesn't mean confirmation that your application is approved or not but certainly a positive sign..

I’m also from February 2018, we received pre-arrival last October but still no PPR.

Oh wow, why not? What takes them so long? I am sorry to hear it is so long.,. But hope this wait will finish for you and you can join your spouse soon!

We’re in security screening, I don’t think we will get ppr before next month (or later). But they waited until the 11th month to start the background check

2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on February 18, 2019.
3. We started processing your application on February 18, 2019.
4. We sent you correspondence on January 23, 2019. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
5. We sent you medical instructions on March 14, 2019. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
6. Medical results have been received.
7. We sent you correspondence on June 17, 2019. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.

Pre arrival - June 19 2019

I am hopefully waiting that the next email would be PPR.
