Mine was also delivered on the 16th. Looking at the link below and data from this thread not many have received approved status from the 16th yet. I’d assume the holiday played a factor in this and reckon most will get approved today/tomorrow.

what is the average? does it makes a difference if you require a visa or not?

If your 6 months deadline has passed and you are in Canada, reach out to your local MP office. If you are outside Canada, email Ralph Goodale. If you have are yet to complete 6 months deadline, no would be willing to help you. It sucks

I filled an online form last week seeking to know why my file has taken long to process. I am happy to report that they have responded with the following remarks:

All the required documents and information have been received by the responsible office for the moment.

Rest assured that you will be informed as soon as a decision is reached or if additional information is needed.

We verified the information you provided and can confirm that your file is currently located at the Canadian visa office in Nairobi, Kenya.

Because of the specific nature of your enquiry, we invite you to contact them directly in order to:

• Report important changes,
• Provide documents,
• Obtain information regarding the status of your application, or
• Enquire on an outcome to a request.”

Any advice on this before I make a call to them? How do you advice? What do you also make about their response?

This is their generic reply. i remember when my work permit extension was taking longer then expected then i send bunch of emails and all the time i got same reply. I would say call them and trap them in bunch of question. start with easier questions first.

Omg I am going crazy in here! The worst is my husby works in USA and because we sent out passaport he can not work! I am literally freaking out

None at my end too. I called IRCC and they told me that it Ottawa takes 2 weeks. I don't understand why can't they make it a little transparent!

I know! We can open a complain on Thursday when this 2 weeks are over! This is what they told me when I called! Did you ask if your passaport was there when u call? Coz mine wasn’t even in the system yet till last Friday
