Hello Everyone! I'm now officially a permanent resident of Canada. I did my landing at the Regway border 4hrs southeast from Saskatoon to where I'm from. Officers question were:
1)Where do you work? (PLACE AND COMPANY NAME)
2)What do you do?
3)When's your next shift?
That's everything, I sat for approx 5-7min then the officer came back and asked me to sign both copies of copr. Showed me the crossed out single entry immigrant visa and that's it. Nicest part? a greeting from the officer telling me "Congratulations you are now a permanent resident of Canada" with a lil smile on his face.
Then after, he explained that PR card can be received now as early as 2 weeks wait. Also he explained about SIN and other info on the welcome sheet as PR. Since I went to the border as early as 8am, I went straight to Service Canada and have my SIN changed as well.
It took me 10-15 min for everything. That includes my driving time to the US border until i got back to my vehicle as PR with a smile.
Thanks y'all! It was a very tough journey, yet it was all worth it. Congratulations to all of us!
I sent my passport on May 22. It was received on May 24. Nothing happen after that.Anybody here who sent passport on 22nd may?
No. I don't think they would ever ask that, because biometrics is part of the processing.Anything they ask about biometrics on regway
Please share ur passport request timeline, when did you sent ur passport? When did they received it? When did they approve passport visa? And when did they dispatch ur passport? When did you received ur passport back?Want to give everyone a quick update, just finished landing at the CIC office in Ottawa (235 Queens Ave). Went around 7:50am and there were 2 People in front of the line. Everything went super smooth and straightward. Don't think it took more than 10 mins and I was signed, sealed and congratulated as a PR
Thanks everyone here for letting me know know about this option of walking in to the Ottawa office for the landing. I prefer this to going to the border any day.
Make sure you take 2 more photos if you are going for this landing option. I took pretty much all my documents I submitted for pr but they only looked at the CoPR and passport.
My first entry date to Canada was wrong in the CoPR. When I mentioned this to the officer she said it doesn't matter. Only the last entry date should be correct.
Was a bit of a trip to come here but now I have the whole day to do some site seeing maybe say a quick hi to Justine

If you cross to the US /entered US territory then you would need a US visa unless you're exempt. Many people do the flagpoling, which to my understanding means when you reach the US border, you tell them you have no intention of entering the US. You get admission refusal and they send you back to Canada.Hi,
Do we need US visa If we are going to Coutts Border for Landing.
As when we try to google, it says "This route crosses through the United States of America."
Please advise if anyone went to coutts without US VISA.
Thanks.
Not quite sure, they asked for it during the landing interview. And they clipped it to their copy of CoPR and kept it with them. Took both the extra photos I brought.Hi,
Thanks for sharing your experience!
Could you please explain why you needed 2 more photos?
