Thank you @JoshC Have you come across situation where in the documents from IRCC , the name is inverted LAST NAME,FIRST NAME ,instead of FIRST NAME,LAST NAME in the PPR email? What is the best approach?

Mine is my full name in bold underneath my address then again underneath it says:

Dear [First Name, middle name, last name].

Has any other documentation from IRC had the names the wrong way around for you? You don’t send the PPR off just Annex A, Passport / copies and two more pics. So wouldn’t worry too much.

Hey guys, so after hitting the 6 months mark I noticed slight change in GCKEY and it says the following"
"Make sure you read your messages and take action when we ask you to. This will help move the application process along."

I know it probably doesn't mean anything....but anyone else noticed that too?

Did you cross the border or book an appointment? Congrats! I’m assuming your wife was already in Canada with you as you sent the PPR to Ottawa?
Yes She came here on Visiting Visa. I went to IRCC office here in Halifax, we do not need a prior appointment here .

Hey guys,
Just have a question, we got our OWP approved (2years) and I am wondering what would happen to the OWP if the PR application were to get refused? Would the OWP get cancelled? could we apply again for PR and keep the OWP?
We are worried because we got an procedural fairness letter, we have many things we can submit that we didn't submit in our original application to help our case. Has anyone else experienced this?
This thread is for outland applicants. Try to find an answer in inland thread

Hello Sarah, Are you inland or outland? For all outland lots of us are in the same boat awaiting for file to be transferred to Mexico. Apparently this is the slowest VO of all the VOs. All Central , Latin American as well as Caribbean files goes to Mexico adding. I was told that files does not get transferred to Mexico until the VO has catch up with the existing files ( not sure if it is true or not but sounds like a valid reason for me ). I called CIC today I was told that my wife's file is still in Sydney however the VO has already been designated ( which of course is Mexico ) this is nothing new and . The officer told me that may be file will be transferred in a few weeks. Well guess what it has been over 2 months since applicant has passed medical now and exactly 2 months and 10 days file is still not transferred. The officer also told me that sometimes files does not get transferred and is treated in Canada. Well hopefully this will be the case but then if it was going to be treated in Canada why would it be ob hold for such a long time. Bottom line Mexico is very slow, lots of waiting time and a lot of patience needed., Check the Mexico board from time to time for any updates . Good luck www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/mexico.35385

Thank you! I also called the CIC and they said that my application would initially be verified in Sydney, and then I would go to Mexico, but they said that a long time ago and I do not know what to expect anymore. It's been 2 months and 15 days since I passed the medical exams and I have absolutely nothing new. To make matters worse, I do not have a valid visa to enter Canada and I have been away from my husband for 6 months. I can only hope that the next few months will pass very fast.

GCKEY updated to approved today. Now just to wait for the return tracker to update. I’m assuming it’ll be tomorrow.

Does anyone know how to determine which visa office will the application get transferred to? It been over 6 months since application has been received and I haven't received any application transfer email. Could it be a possibility the application has been transferred but no correspondence sent?

Thanks

As far as I know you will get notified through email if your application has been transferred to a LVO.
