Hello Everyone
I have a query. The Passport request (PPR) for PR is sent to our email or CIC account or both?

My AOR date is March 10, 2019. Medicals and Biometrics already competed. I guess application is in IP-2 stage.

The status of background check is below. Its been the same since a month or so.
Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

Do you think its too early to worry about PPR? Some candidates with AOR date later than that of mine have received PPR requests.

Your application is within normal processing times. You're not even half way. You just crossed the 2 months mark...
Don't worry about PPR now, and don't focus on other applicants. It's not a first come first served kind of thing. Every application is different, and processed by different offices.
Keep in mind that a normal processing deadline for you is Mid-September 2019.

Thanks Peackeeper87 for your quick reply.
I totally agree with your reply. However, I have one concern. Lately, I have been reading posts on this forum and I have come to know that PPR email is received/may be received in Spam folder. I have intentionally cleared off my SPAM folder on numerous occasions in the recent past without going through emails. Although I am just halfway in my application processing times; still even if I had received PPR email, i would have definitely missed it. Is there any way to confirm if I had received PPR email in my SPAM folder?
thanks.

I strongly doubt you have received PPR by now. If you think you received it and deleted it from Spam folder, then you'd have to check with IRCC if it was sent out. Only way to know is to call their call center.
After you do that, check one of my previous post about this matter so that it never goes into your spam folder.

Thanks for replying. Could you please answer a couple of queries as below:
1. I have applied from India. So, calling customer care would be quite tedious. Is it possible to email CIC and make the same inquiry. Is it a good idea to email at cpc-ctd-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca and get the clarification.

2. Also, I might shift to UAE in a month or so. So, if i get the PPR while in UAE, is there any provision to submit passport there itself or will I have to come back to India and submit passport here. God knows if my company will grant me a leave for 1 month considering the time it takes to submit and get passport stamped.

thanks

1/ You could try, but you're very unlikely to get the answer you're looking for. If you are in India, I heard skype calls are free there, so check if that's still valid. If it's not, you can purchase some skype credits or an unlimited call plan to Canada.
2/ Firstly, when you relocate to the UAE, you must inform them of your change of address. That way, your file can be updated accordingly, and you'll normally receive instructions to give your passport in UAE. If for some reason the change isn't made before PPR, and you receive instructions to give passport as if you were still in India, you can send a CSE requesting a change of visa office, and they'll resend you PPR email with new instructions for UAE.

Great...that makes sense.

However, if I am informing them of my address change to UAE, isnt it likely for them to ask for additional documents such as PCC from UAE, as I will have a live in working position in UAE.

No they won't ask for UAE PCC.

Hi
I am guessing you would have got a final decision by now Could you please post your timeline from AOR to Golden Email? Also did you get an email and message in your profile about final decision?
