Hey,A friend applied 1may.Got a misrepresentation letter for omitting a refusal to the US on 10 May and asked to reply before 7days or he would be refuse a visa which was replyed on the 15th May and receive a biometric letter 20th May instead of medicals but up till now there’s no response yet..Can you help.Do you think there’s something wrong.
Hello Linda,

Hope well.

I don't have any idea what the embassy will say. Once I applied for someone who had been refused, and forgot to check yes box where they asked if the person has ever applied to Canada before. This happened because I used the say form the person originally filled. I responded to their letter explaining what had happened. They still denied the person and infact banned the person for 1 or 2 years can't remember. I felt so bad. So lets hope for the best in the case of your friend.

Cheers

I really need your answer

My friend got refuse for the 2rd time.
She is about to re-apply again but want to be sure of : This is my questions

My question is if someone changes the informations about his past work experience in his next application form for his next visa application will the new VO notice it?

And someone that has a diploma in business management going for a post baccalaureate diploma in Human Resources management is it a progression and reasonable enough?

Thank you for visiting this thread. I am sorry to hear about your situation. I am not sure we can make any conclusions until we get a feedback from the embassy. I would suggest you be a bit more patient to hear from them.

All the best.

Omofar good evening. It's been more than 11 weeks since I applied for a study permit since March 6th and the only thing I got last week was a correspondence letter for biometrics. The address on it was from Kenya.. Since then I have not gotten a medical request or passport request had to defer my admission to September from May thinking I was going to get an approval on time. I don't know what to do now

Hello Evankc,

I hope well. I am sorry to hear about the repeated refusals your friend is getting from the embassy.

My honest opinion is that your friend should forget about applying again for sometime. Multiple applications/rejections sends a bad message to the visa officer that this person is very desperate to enter Canada and is very unlikely to return if issued a visa. However, your friend may choose to disregards it. Now to respond to your queries

1. Changing information about anything on your previous application is dangerous don't do it! Any discrepancies that cannot be justified would be viewed by the visa officer as either misrepresentation or deception and can lead to a ban. So please avoid it.

2. Is the diploma OND or HND?

Since I do not have the refusal letters or gcms notes for this person I cannot specifically say why he/she was denied. But I am sure the refusal was much more than these two matters raised.

I hope this info helps.

All the best.

Hello Ayeni Babajide,

I am sorry to say that it appears your application has been refused.

1. You have received biometrics letter

2. You have not received any request for medical exam.

Those are bad signs that the application has been denied.

I am sorry I do not have better news for you.

I wish you all the best.

Hello Everyone

I'm new in the group and I please need your advice on my situation. I have a diploma in Business management( With just 8 modules) an in january 16 i applied for a study permit for a Diploma in Business management ( with 17 modules) in Toronto school of management I got a refusal in Jan 30 reason purpose of visit.

I ordered for tha CAIPS NOTES they stated "On the basis of the documents provided, not satisfied that the applicant will leave Canada at the end of his period of residence under subsection 216 (1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations, given the reason for his visit. The applicant has received an offer of registration for a program which represents a very important financial investment given the income of his country of residence and which is not credible in relation to his age, his previous personal background and his family situation".
Whereas my tution fee was $12500 i already paid $3,250 and my sponsor which is my dad had $31,500 in his account and i had also attached his properties documents and cars.

This time arround i bettered my SOP stating all the reasons why the course assuring i will return for i have a job waiting for my after, gave all my jobs referencing letters, payement slip, future employement letter etc. My Dad's bank statement got bigger with $52,000 note that he is an entrepreneur his money are from his activities for the pass 2 years so his bank statement shows his many entries so i also attached his business document even his business bank statement all possible document concerning him and me i included.

Now these are the 3 reasons they gave

• I am not satisfied that you have sufficient funds, including income or assets, to carry out your stated purpose in coming to Canada or to maintain yourself while in Canada and to effect your departure.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the length of your proposed stay in Canada.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee.

I'm shook because it doesn't make sense i thnik of changing my course to human resource management and changing my city as well to go to a less popula and populated province.

PLEASE I NEED YOUR HELP AND SUGGESTION PLEASE FOR MY NEXT APPLICATION BECAUSE I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT IS WRONG

THANKS IN ADVANCE

Hello Evankc,

The summary is that the entire application was not properly done.

1. The purpose of visit is not clear. It does not match this person's age, hence it is reasonable to believe the person is just applying to enter Canada to stay and no really to study. The VO expects that there should be a match between one's age and the level of degree you are applying for. If someone comes to me and say he/she is 28 years old and your want to study at undergraduate level, that will not fly! So what is reasonable is 16-19 for undergraduate studies, 19-25 for Masters/PGC studies, (26-29) if you have good work experience, job, travel history etc 26-32/33 for PhD..

2. Funding: Clearly from the notes, it shows the person does not really have what it takes to support him/herself financially. Paying deposit, showing statements of account is not sufficient again.. Its best to pay for at least the 1st session. Also showing bank statement is not sufficient, the person needs to show how they make that money, are they self employed, are they working with a company, are they paying their taxes etc A sudden increase in sum of money will not impress the VO.

3. Finally, the person just appears to have a bad 'profile' that raises a red flag for the VO and it is difficult for the VO to approve their application.

I am sorry to say that if this person applies again, it is much more than likely that the application will be denied again.

All the best.

That must have been a long time ago. Furthermore, there are always exceptions to any rule. The person must demonstrate extenuating circumstances that are compelling enough for them to be pursuing an undergraduate degree at 30! Even me I am not a visa officer and I am not buying their story. Furthermore, if you do not have a travel history and you are between the ages of 25-40 and no reasonable work experience and viable/gainful employment, don't even bother applying to the Canadian embassy, that person's application would not be approved for tourist visa, let alone study permit.

All the best.

Got another friend who applied on April 20 and received the his final decision on May 24.
