I don’t understand why only some of us got the progress bar changed and the rest of people did not get it changed. Do you guys think it can be some sort of ghost update?

So it just says Application Updated/Submitted. All of my friends got the similar ghost update a day before Decision was Made. Also I saw the Decision Made Update on Online Application Tool, as there is still no update on GcKey lol. It just says Medical Passed and that's it.

I just called IRCC and apparently security haven't been finished yet. the agent says it could be any minute now.

however , the agent did tell me that do not order too many GCMS notes, cos every time we order it they have to freeze the file and gather all the information to form the note . I got to say this is the opposite of what I have learnt about GCMS notes. any idea regarding this ?

This looks like some old government employee talking, GCMS is a system where every act is recorded under which the application goes, so sometimes if the application is untouched and not seen for long, it is touched by the officer when your order notes. This is not by law, but logical

I think so it is a ghost update. But yes I also saw that the time shortened by 1 month on the progress bar in my GcKey Account.

Reviewing the result of your medical July 2017 till today ( I never received medical request ! )
Processing background check July 2017-till today
No update for almost 1 year !
My Processing time bar shows July 2019 .
So tired of waiting...

Did you see “application updated” sign on GCkey when the progress bar was changed?
I really hope this is a ghost update as it means that we will get PPR or DM pretty soon.

My guess is that it reflects the updated average processing time.

I suggest December applicants to just call a cic agent.. Many in forum reported that they got real updates from them.. like they are telling if you have passed security or not..

Thank you for letting me know.
I want to call CIC but I am afraid that calling them too often may have negative impact on my application. I called them twice ever since I have applied but I think someone in this forum once said that the agent asked not to call so often as they leave notes on the file how many times an applicant contacted CIC. I am not sure if this is true or whether or not calling them can impact my application process but I do not want to take any risk at this point.

so sad . at the moment if anybody gets a DM or PPR at all it's always good news , give others hope. anything is better than waiting in this still motion .
