I just called IRCC and apparently security haven't been finished yet. the agent says it could be any minute now.
however , the agent did tell me that do not order too many GCMS notes, cos every time we order it they have to freeze the file and gather all the information to form the note . I got to say this is the opposite of what I have learnt about GCMS notes. any idea regarding this ?

An immigration lawyer said same to me. Sounds logical but it doesn’t mean it is true or not. Nobody seem to have the facts on how they move individual files and on what yardstick. Just hearsays here and there. I have not ordered GCMs notes and yet I haven’t had a single updates since Sept 2018 while some Nov/Dec applications have already got DM/PPR and some of them ordered notes.
So maybe one should try not to order too much just to be on safe side.
I am Oct 23 by the way.
yeah, I just called my boss who is a lawyer that does some immigration work , told him what the agent said and he called it " horse crap", I don't know what or whom to believe now. but it's alright, I am all zen and peace, waiting patiently, and going to the range to shoot 100 rounds daily . LOL ......

Atip notes department is separate from IRCC it won’t affect your application
Thank you , that's exactly what I learnt and what I thought , don't know why the agent said that .
To be honest, I have learnt one thing, the more you contact CIC via email about your file, the more you gotta wait in your application. It’s better to contact CIC via phone only, as it doesn’t have any connection with your visa officer. Just for a safe side, do not contact them anymore, your timelines have started getting PPR so it’s good not to take risk at this time
I do have a feeling that you will get PPR either by this Saturday (which is little strange, but Saturday been a golden day for few people in this thread) or max by this coming Wednesday. Don’t worry man, I know it’s easy to say but just relax. You’re almost there
I only emailed them twice informing them about my new passport and new born daughter , other than that never contacted them. and I have given up any hope I will get it before the date on the progress bar , lower my expectations and I will not be disappointed I suppose haha ...
and I thank you for that feeling , I will keep my fingers crossed and keep going to the range to vent some of that anger

Federal PR Medical Request - May 1, 2018
Federal PR Medical Submitted - May 17, 2018

to answer your question , it takes about 2 weeks , from the day they receive your passport to the day the sent it out. could be less , but I am saying from my personal experience .
