I truly don’t believe that there is a standard process or timeline. They are all unique yet all have their own set of frustrations haha! I agree the timeline is 12 months and patience is key. My ecas and gckey have zero changes since medicals have passed. Still reviewing eligibility still no AOR2 and still not started background. March will be our 6 month mark.

Hi Wakki is it applicable for inland applicant? I just checked on IRCC hotline and I heard this info:

“Your Eligibility has not yet started”
“We are processing your background check”

what does it mean?

What is your timeline? Check Outland thread here every case or application is different so maybe just be patient good luck on your application

July 2018 applicant - file transferred to VO November 15. Is it strange for background check to not have started? We are still on "review of eligibility"...8 months in already

Same here it’s been over 3 months since medical done and no news.

Sigh! Same. Hope it happens soon. Very straight forward case, no dependents, very good proof of relationship, etc, all bases covered, police checks included all documents translated. I am hoping for more info next week

We are Mexico VO as well. From what I have been reading, they seem really really slow. I have seen a few cases go through in under 9 months but that’s not normal

Good...your Review of Eligibility message is :"We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements".........when Review of Eligibility is completed.......Background Check is next to complete.......before passport request.

Background check takes awhile to complete......sometimes may have started but not updated in your application status.

Will advice you be patient......you have reached the 12months and likely Background Check message may soon change to...

2.) Background Check: “We are processing your background check. we will send you a message if we need more information.“

Will advice that you give IRCC 1week.......if nothing, them send an email to LVO.......try this LVO email....london-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca

I called cic

They said. Eligibility and criminality is under process. Bgs haven’t started yet

Meds passed. So far got to updates. Apr 11aor 2and 16 meds passed

Account. Says

Review weather meet eligibility requirements
Bgs. Processing will send msg if v need more information.

I really do not think it is the same for everyone, nor a standard procedure. i have seen people that have had Background check in progress from day one, and eligibility not started.... vice versa.
My advice is stay patient, stop comparing your case to others and if you really have questions, order your notes. We will all get there

So I ordered my GCMS notes. Says my eligibility has been passed but my security hasn't started. This has been since March 3rd, 2019 and it's been at least 2 months as you can see. Is this what a usual timeline is for security checks?

There must be such backlog with inland applications, there are so many of us now at the 10+ month mark with background checks still not started. Sigh.

I am March 2018 applicant (Outland spousal sponsorship)
Medical passed May 2018.
Application processing at LVO.
Pre arrival services letter received Feburary 2019.
My 12 months time has completed in March 2019. I sent them enquiry through web forum and they replied that you application is going through Background checks and they can't tell how long will it take to be completed becuase it is done by partner agencies in Canada.

Status on GC key.
Review of eligibility: we are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.

Background check: We are processing your background check.

Can you please tell me what is going on with my application? And how long will it take to get PPR.
