You can apply it from canada. Go to any BLS centre and get in 4 weeks. But my advise will be to get it from India. It's fast and less price
My parents got in 10 days and just cost them 1000rs. It's easy. You can submit online application and payment also online.
Also get the PCC for all other countries where they have stayed for more than 6 months.
Don't wait for CIC. Also they will give just 30 days to submit it
Just a quick question. Without a formal request for PCC from CIC, how can one request PCC? I think they require the letter from CIC to process PCC. Can we just give a copy of original invitation letter?

you don't have to provide any request from CIC to get a PCC from the passport office. just inform them it's for the Canadian immigration purpose.

I am just about to send application for my parents. They are currently in India and will arrive here in Aug on Visitor Visa for atleast 6 months. If they get their biometrics and PCC requested while in Canada, how to arrange these without going back to India?

Hey there - Sorry of this has already (probably has) been asked and answered in the thread (so many pages to go through! lol)...we just got sponsorship approval after some delays for paper work///

After sponsorship and approval and forwarding to the Visa office for processing - what is looked at to approve of deny the application? Medicals, Police Check - what else? What do they actually "process" at that stage!

Thanks!

Hi Guys,
I am in a weird situation for form IMM5406 and on the section c section it says " Brothers and Sisters (including half and step-brothers and sisters)my grandmother married twice my mother is with the first husband and there is a stepbrother with the second husband but now my grandmother is not alive and there are no papers for divorce and remarriage and now I am just wondering

Should I put her step-brother's name in the application or if I do as it is just additional family information form, CIC asks for more documentation or should I leave it empty?

Please advice.

Thanks,

@YULIA-2016 ,

Can you please update SS?

My mom just landed today, so officially everything is done.

Line# 203
Username: jhoongo

PPR request: April 12
Passport Sent on April 15, and received by CPC Ottawa on April 17 (she is currently in Canada, and is from Visa Exempt Country, so we just sent photocopies)
We waited for 2 weeks until May 1, there was no update on MyCIC, so I called them on May 2.
The representative told me that she would leave the message to the officer on that day and told me that it might take up to additional one month to receive COPR.
MyCIC account status was changed to Approved on May 3 in the morning, and return tracking code was activated later that day.
Received the COPR on May 4, and landed on the same day through flagpoling in the border.

Thanks everyone, and especially @YULIA-2016 for sharing/organizing the information, and helping all of us.

Wish all of you guys the best of luck on the rest of your process!

Thanks,
where do you plan to land?

Hi All, got the following email - I have submitted the RPRF receipt. PCCs were provided with original application in May 2018, should I send new PCC?
What are the next steps... with all the messages of people getting DMs I am a little frustrated as to why my parents application is taking so long :(

This is an automated message regarding your application for permanent residence in Canada. Your application is in
queue and will soon be reviewed by an officer. In order to minimize delays, please ensure that your application is
complete and contains the documents listed below.
If you have already submitted these documents, you may disregard this message. Do not submit duplicate
documents.
The following documents for you and your spouse, regardless of accompanying or not, must be on file in order for
an officer to complete their assessment:
> Sponsor’s Birth Certificate: proof of relationship with your Sponsor (a scanned copy of your sponsor’s
original birth certificate).
> Proof of Marital Status: A scanned copy of an original marriage certificate, or divorce certificate or
death certificate for late spouse, whichever applicable.
> Police Certificate from all of the countries where the residence period has been six months or longer
since the age of 18. For more information on how to obtain police certificates, including country specific
requirements, please visit: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/index.asp
> Passport/ Travel Document: A scanned copy of your valid passport or travel document with at least 6
months of validity.
> Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF): If you have not previously paid this RPRF fee ($490 per
each adult), please pay it online by visiting https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/epay/order.do?category=8.
If any of the above mentioned documents have not already been submitted to our office, please do so by scanning
your document(s) and reply directly to this email (CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca). Kindly include your application
number in the subject line. You must submit your document within 30 days.

I have called IRCC on friday regards to my file. They said they have received the PCC and everything seems to be in order. Their is internal Review date is assigned to file and which he hasn't disclosed to me. I am not sure which and when it will be, the deadline they ask me to submit by 19 April , 2019, which I have submitted it on 20 March, so not sure the Internal date is when and which.. FYI.

PCC can be applied through consulate general. Also Fingerprint can be given at multiple locations in Canada
