1. Mention in your LOE that you were getting your salary in the form of Cash for the period you mentioned, and also attached pay stubs for the three months (for every year). Generally, pay stubs include details such as Name, designation, department, month name, salary breakup, employee id, no. of paid days, company logo & address, leave balance, mode of payment etc.

2. Mention annual salary for on role (Current one) in the reference letter, thats fine.

3. In the reference letter, create a grid with the all the titles you worked in the company. Include title, start to end date and location. This way, you’ll be able to cover all titles. If your employer is not ready to provide this breakup, then mention this grid in LOE, this will work too.
Do you have any format regarding that? Honestly speaking, I don't want to make any blunder!

Isn't it stated that the pay stubs should be presented for the last 3 months despite for every year?

How did you assume the goal is 80,000 ITAs this year?

Total number of ITAs issued in 2017: 86,023
Total number of ITAs issued in 2018: 89,800

The targets for 2019 are higher than that of 2017 and 2018, so ideally the ITAs being issued should also proportionally increase. So, we should be expecting around 94,000 ITAs to be issued in 2019 considering the above.
He might be confusing the ITA numbers with the number of PR issued applications. There is a great difference between both of these!

I have a query for you guys. Need your valuable inputs. It is regarding the reference letter.
Well, the thing is that, I worked for my current company as a Trainee from the period Sep 2017 to Nov 2018. So, I was working off-role during that period and was getting the salary in cash mode. However, in December 2018, I was appointed as the on-role employee and was given increment as well. Since then I'm getting salary in cheque mode.

So, how to mention all this in my reference letter?
Do I need to mention the annual salaries for both, off-role and on-role?

Or Only the current one needs to be stated?
And how to mention about my job positions for the past and present one?

Well, I'm working as a Software Developer from the begining!
Mention only roles for which you can officially show proof. If you can show pay slips , Employment letter for your training period you can mention it, otherwise skip it.

@abhishek_89 What’s your prediction for May 15th?

My prediction:
CRS 450
3350 ITA’s
Not sure about the tie-breaker
I’m really worried about this tie breaker. I’m loosing 5 points in early August and unfortunately my spouse failed to increase her scores .

I’m having sleepless nights because of this tie breaker. With my birthday coming (August 10 ) I’m getting frustrated with every draw. I never thought I would be struggling @ 450.

We can understand what you are going through. We all are facing the same phase. Even, I was quite confident with 444 scores back in Jan. In tandem with this, I always had a hunch that after my file's submission score might get high. Unfortunately, that nightmare became true. Jan 30 draw is the real culprit for this bizarre situation, we all are suffering from.

Out of curiosity what exactly happened in Jan 30th draw that caused an increase in CRS cutoffs?

Wel, Jan 30th draw was unnecessarily conducted by CIC when there were already 2 draws, each with 3900 ITAs. So, it was the 3rd B2B draw in a row with only one-week gap. Regardless of the lowest cut off in 2019 with 438, It resulted in the excessive backlog on CIC. That'swhy CIC took a 3-weeks gap after this 3rd draw in Jan. Consequently, the cut-off surged to the high 450s.

Ah I see, so basically gaps between draws increased since then and number of ITA's per draw is lower?

Hey Nik,
So far as I understood, there is no exclusive template for work experience letter. However, the points which must be included are very clear and they are as follows-

Purpose of work experience: To prove each work experience claim and to validate that the applicant meets program requirements.

A reference or experience letter from the employer, which
  • should be an official document printed on company letterhead (must include the applicant’s name, the company’s contact information [address, telephone number and email address], and the name, title and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company),
  • should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company, number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits.

I agree with 13nitinsharma where he suggested to ''create a grid with the all the titles you worked in the company. Include title, start to end date and location.''
As your whole work experience comes under same NOC, it would be better if you add one more line in your letter: For your reference, Mr. Nik's position corresponds to the National Occupational Classification, NOC, XXXX.

Draft your own letter by including all the points which are the must and convince your manager to just copy and paste them in a letterhead.

If you are claiming points for your training period, you must not skip this portion. Did you sign any contract for your company, if not, the reference letter is proof for your claims required to prove the work experience?
I think CIC officers are aware that in many countries people get salary in cash mode. Nevertheless, try to include as many supporting documents as you can to validate the authenticity of your work experience.

Chillax, mate. With 450, you will be through in May itself forget about August. By the way, what is your profile submission date?

It's only required if you need to use the training period for work experience points. Otherwise add it in your personal history, and there's no need to worry about salary.

Absolutely!

Total number of ITAs issued in 2017: 86,023, 120.48%
Total number of ITAs issued in 2018: 89,800, 119.89%

For 2019, the number should be around 97590 (119.89%), or 93610 (115%).

A reference letter with the latest job title works.
Moreover, the letter need not have any salary details, just needs to mention that you were a full time employee from so and so dates along with the job responsibilities.

Can confirm this, as my former teammate got his PR with that and I will be using the same one once I get the ITA.

Also, I can share the reference letter sample that he used over a DM as it's for a Software developer position.
