Your wife needs to extend her stay as a visitor. No receipt submission is required. Just pay the visitor extension fee when she applies online.

No, unfortunately she can’t work after her current permit expires. She is not benefit from the implied status since CIC does not receive a complete and correct application (including applying to the correct office). She has to apply for a visitor visa if she wants to continue staying in Canada; otherwise, she will have to leave.Can she continue to work under implied status since she applied for OWP? If you initially submitted the sponsorship application to the correct office, she should have had a chance to work. AoR will be sent to the sponsor’s email. If you applied around March 20, you should receive it next week.Do u also get a received notification when you send the file through mail?
