Looks like examples of activities are longer than six months.
i am not taking any risk, it does not say anything in the guide to not include traveling outside of country. If your parents did not travel much then it is fine, my parents traveled to quite a few countries so I rather declare them all.

Look at IMM5748, Question 3. There you will see that EI amounts are deducted from total income to get to Available Income. In my view, EI should be allowed to be shown as income. But IRCC wants to ensure that in last three years, you were capable of earning above threshold without any assistance (EI), this is just raising the bar. One reason for this is that you are giving an undertaking for 20 years. It is pretty long time, so they just want to make it more difficult (stress test if you want to call it).[/QUOTE

Is that also included mat leave as well?

Does it make any sense to fill the representative form?
I am sponsoring my mother. For her past VISA applications (she visited almost 7 times) I never filled this representative form, though I am the one who always fills application and all as she does not know English.

Basically only we have to mention those countries where they have lived for more than 6 months.

Remind me the question you are talking about
While filling the form on behalf of my mother, the Question no. 12 on General Application Form IMM0008 is a bit confusing.

Form IMM0008
Question 12: Previous countries of residence: During the past five years have you lived in any country other than your
country of citizenship or your current country of residence (indicated above) for more than six months?

My mother is visiting us every year since 2016 and stays in Canada for less than six months each time. She has never stayed in Canada for six or more months in any single visit. However she has stayed more than six months cumulative across these years (2016, 2017 and 2018).

Shall I answer "Yes" to this question in the form or No on her behalf? I am very confused as the question is a bit ambiguous. Please help!!

Guys, imm5406, 'Applicant' means 'Principal applicant'?

My mother is the principal applicant. So when my father fills his form (both principal applicant and spouse has to fill this form), the applicant name is still my mother's name?

Hi
I have couple of question regarding the application (various forms)
1) Background / Declaration Form -
asks for principal applicant and spouse (parent's) - about there parent's date and place of birth (which is essential date of birth for sponsor's grand parents .. potentially early 1900s). For place of birth - Can we put Indian sub-continent? since than it's divided into 3 countries. Geography of the world has changed in 100 years? or does it have to be current country?
2) Additional family information
if the date for birth are unknown can it be left blank?.

No, because they want to see more than 6 months in one year not cumulative. If she stayed more than 6 months in one year she needs to get police clearance certificates from those countries.
So your answer is no for that question.
