what additional info did they request from you if you don't mind me asking
They asked me to send them my most recent paystub showing my year-to-date summary for 2019. Not 100% sure why! But I guess there's some uncertainty on their end about my employment status.

My husband just got that too! Honestly I don't know what to do about the name change, that sounds very frustrating. Maybe submit through the web form again?

We submitted once under my name and then they emailed me saying I am not a representative of my husband so either I have to submit a representative form or he has to submit by himself so my husband submitted 3 times and they haven’t chnaged it now I am not sure what to do pay for biometrics or shall I wait until they fix it ..and this is their typing error not even our fault

Ugh that's really annoying. I'm not entirely sure what to suggest, but I feel like you probably should wait till you've got the name sorted out. You could always try making a separate thread on the forum and seeing what others suggest. Someone else might have had this same problem and can give you better advice.

Have no idea what you're talking about. Do you mean US apps in Canada or immigrating to US?

It's not a right. You don't have a right just because you pay taxes. That's literally not a thing when it comes to immigrating - completely wrong.

As I already stated IRCC has done a lot of work to optimize the process and make things faster. It was way worse pre December 2016.
I think what people are trying to say is the 12 months is unreasonable when you see cases that are resolved in 4-6 months. There are people from India that can get things done in a few months while others from the same country wait the full 12 ( just using India as an example but it happens with almost every country).

The problem here is that there is no consistency and things are not transparent.

It is not a right, that's true. However it's not fair to see you did everything correctly and answered all requests promptly and see that there are others in your exact situation that move forward and complete the process in half the time.

I still don't see how that happens.A lot of people say "oh it depends on your agent" well I personally don't think that should be an excuse. I feel that all agents should be held to the same standards and expectations.

I already answered this in part. A lot of it has to do with delays on the applicants government for information sharing. Has nothing to do with Canada. There are other factors at play as well, like efficiency and workload of officers.

You say there's no consistency but it's simply not true. 80% of applications are targeted to be processed within 12 months. That's pretty consistent. Of course they can't fully standardize processing times.

People who also make comments about transparency - you can order your GCMS notes and get an update on exactly what the officers are doing.

It's like standing in line at the grocery store - some lines move faster than others. It's life.

Processing times used to be in excess of 2 years. Inland apps didn't get OWP until AIP. They have optimized a lot.

Saying Canada has nothing to do with it is not correct, they may send for requests to foreign countries does not answer for the parts that they look at with in Canada.

Just take a look at the drastic change in processing times to get AOR1 in the last few months, or even from Feb to March. There is so much fluctuation in even getting SA that is done inside Canada which says a lot about how they are organizing things. Sure it's improved but they have a long way to go. I imagine that if you call just as many have done they will tell you they are processing applications for October, how can they even say that when it's clear that it's not true.
