Hi,

I am here requesting best suggestion to act.

I am the PA here, completed biometrics and medical, but no updates in ECAS yet.

I am worried as I am due to take my employment on ship for a period of 4 months by end of May 2019. With fingers crossed to get somepostive updates from CIC by then.

My question ?
1) Can PA delay his or her travel to Canada, after disition made and visa stamped.

2) is there any rule in place that, once the PA application process is over, do the PA need to land in Canada within a specific time period. If yes, what is that time period
1) You need to land by the expiry on your COPR. This is not negotiable. The expiry is usually the same as the expiry of your medical. Medicals are good for one year.

2) You must meet the residency obligation but you do not need to move right away. You do have to land either way by the expiry on the COPR. You can do what is called a soft landing - land as a PR but not move. You do need a Canadian address to send the PR card to.

Once again thanks mate,

You mean say normaly the validity of COPR is until expiration of medicals, which is one year.

In this case, I had done my medicals on 15th of April 2019, so I have time till 15th April 2020 to teach down in Canada and followed by receipt of PR card.

You would have to land, soft or not, by April 15 2020 (assuming this is the expiry date on your COPR - obviously, always check since IRCC changes all the time, but for a number of years it's always been tied to medical expiry)

Hi all
We received sponsorship approval, biometric and medical.
Both done and shown as passed since April 10.
But till now no further updates, not even an email for transfer to VO.
Should i start to worry?
Its showing currently “we are processing ur background check”
And ecas showing that they teceived application, then send medical and bio request, then medical received. Not showing that application process started yet!

Any help! I dont know why they didnt transfer file yet to visa office since everything was completed and medical passed since the 10th of April
.. i am thinking to apply for visit visa for my wife!

Im waiting too for this letter , but i wouldnt suggest trying a visitor visa tho while a decision is gonna be made of sponsorship. Thats how they work sometimes is super fast... sometimes is a bit longer.

Hi All

I am stuck with an additional documents request, need your urgent advise on it.
I have received a request yesterday stating-
"Birth certificates issued in this country: If a birth is registered late, include the original baptism certificate and other original documents establishing identity such as: o Old school records (Fifth class, Middle standard and Matriculation/secondary school certificate), and Voter's ID card."
PA from India and do not have voters ID card. Although i do have all the other relevant documents like- 10th, 12th certificate, adhar card, PAN card, school (5th, 10th etc.) report cards.
I am worried about that if not having a voters ID card is gonna be a negative impact.

Please suggest what should i do. Can i send an explanation letter for not having Voters ID card?
