Processing time for spousal visa - Sri Lanka

Hi all
Does anyone have an idea on why Colombo visa office is taking so long?
How long do we have to wait for medical request after file transfer?
And how long for passport request after passing medicals?

It's been almost 50 days since my file was transferred, no updates at all. Feeling very down and worried :/

I believe No one can answer your questions.
We are all hoping that our files can move faster.

I am also waiting for the medical after file transfer to Colombo (almost 50 days) and I see couple of people waiting to hear passport request after passing medicals.

@yoge as as a senior member are you able to guide me to how long we have to possibly wait. July 2018 applicant...file transferred to colombo on nov 15, started processing nov 23rd. We got medical request on dec 18 which we did on dec 26. Ever since nothing. I ordered gcms notes and it doesnt reflect any movement at colombo office at all.

Any ideas?

probably srilanka processing time is 12 month you will be wait another 3 month . in my case i got refusal letter ecactly after one year from application submit .

Oh i am so sorry to hear that. I hope you are able to join your spouse soon.
The wait is really difficult so will see where it leads us.

We didn't. We got a letter from CPC-Sydney that file has been sent to Colombo. If you check PA side on ECAS it should say:

1. We received your application on ...
2. We started processing your application on...

The 2nd line is an indicator that visa office has begun processing and received the file

unfortunately colombo visa office didnt send any aor about file transfer

October 30th 2018 tranfer local visa office
November 14th they asked again 5669E
December 19th 2018 Medical Request
December 27th 2018 Medical Pass
February 26th 2019 Pri Arrival Letter
No further updates yet , Im waiting for long time VO no response to my file
Can any one tell next step for VO Colombo

pre arrival invitation meaning you are eligibility is done .
they will check now your background and security check after finish this you will get your passport request letter from cic
