So what happens when I have to leave Canada? Does anyone know how it affects my chance to return on tourist visa, etc? We aren't going to lie. I am just curious if I'm going to be banned on returning to Canada for a time? My daughter will mainly live and Heaven forbid if she were to get sick could I come see her?
There is no reason to believe that you will be prevented from returning to Canada at any point, unless you were to be banned for misrepresentation/fraud. However, as you have already stated, that is not going to be a factor anyway.

Thank you very much.
I received a work permit today and it appears to have a sin number on it.

I still have to do the final interview where it says a final decision will be made. Is there any hope? Or is this done? Or does anyone know. Sorry to keep dragging this on. It's just that this is new information.

If you’ve received the work permit then that’s yours to keep and use. This doesn’t change anything with regard to your pr application. You won’t pass the landing interview without your wife there and without committing fraud and lying about the status of your relationship. You really need to forget about the spousal pr path and find your own way to immigrate. You no longer qualify for or through your spouse. And lying to get pr isn’t something you want to do.

I would say stay positive and who knows his wife might have change of heart and go with him to the landing interview...after all she hasn't called cic to tell them that she wants to withdraw sponsorship till yet ....so who knows...

I'm mentally prepared to go. I've been mentally prepared to go. I've done all I can do. I don't think my wife will have a change of heart but we're not going to lie to them. Hope is all I have left. I just want to be near my baby. I'd love a chance to reconcile but it doesn't seem likely. Regardless I'm committed to a positive outlook moving forward. Everything is going to be ok either way thank you all for the replies.

You don't have to go if your Open Work Permit has been approved. You can remain in Canada and work for as long as that work permit is valid. If you end up with an approved OWP - then recommend you use that time to get work experience in a NOC A, B or 0 role to give yourself the best chance of qualifying for PR.

It's just the getting PR through your wife that sounds like it's no longer possible.

I'm not familiar with those terms. I will do some research to look them up thank you all for the responses.

I looked them up I have loads of experience as a server. Some experience as a chef. I have lots of basic to intermediate carpentry skills learned from my father throughout life. Im 43 years old but Im not scared of hard work and I'm strong and I have as much motivation to remain here as anyone my daughter is my world Perhaps I can get into a carpentry apprenticeship. This gives me a lot of hope thank you all.for the responses. This thing might just work out. I have a renewed faith in God. But even if it doesn't I have prepared myself for whatever path is laid before me. Thank you all for every response. I am humbled.

Please stop encouraging people to commit immigration fraud. His wife is obliged to withdraw sponsorship. Mail was a few weeks ago so wouldn’t reflect whether she had called recently.

It does sound like you have received OWP so you can stay up to the end of the work permit.

She can do what she wants , but if the relationship has broken down, and based upon the information provided, it has , she and or the sponsored individual has a obligation to inform the government
It’s not rocket science
Relationship intact = sponsorship proceeds
Relationship breakdown = sponsorship ends
It’s not about being “ nice “, or are they are still on good terms
The gentleman is aware and is adamant there will be no fraud
