I applied for may 2019 intake,
College- Matrix college Montreal
Program - Software Testing 1 year
Profile : 10th 88% ,12th 78%, Btech CSE 2018 passout 58%(8 backlogs).
NO Gap.
IELTS: L-8.5, R-8.0, S-6.0, W-6.0

Documents used: 1 yr fee LOA,GIC 10000 CAD, SOP, AcadmiAc transcripts, Medical, Property Evolution,CA report, 2 year ITR,LIC's. And Bank statements.
Applied under SDS offline on 7th march visa rejected on 16th march, Reason : Do not leave canada based on my financial assets.

Applied again with few changes in ITR and SOP on 22nd march SDS online, it's been 11 working days since i applied but still review isn't started. What to do now..

Any suggestions please.. it's very dipressive.

Meanwhile i got my offer letter from Langara college and paid fees for Data Analytics 2 yr PG diploma and yesterday got my LOA for september 2019 intake.

My question is:

1 why is it taking so much in visa processing when my friends got there visa within 4 days when they applied online. But in mine case review isn't started even after 11 working days?

2. What will i do when i will get visa for matrix college. Do i have to study in that college or can change my college to langara in which i am already admitted. If yes than what is the process of it. Is it wise to do so ? And how would i extend my study permit from 1 year to two year?

3. If visa got refused and i apply for sep19 intake langara College visa than what are my chances of getting a visa after 2 refusal.

1. It could just be backlogged. The 11 days really isn't that long for a visa application of this nature

2. This part is somewhat baffling and may actually be a cause for concern. You applied to two different colleges for entirely different courses that overlap, and you've paid them thousands of dollars. This doesn't make sense for a genuine student. It looks like you just want to enter Canada, and not to study.

3. If you get refused twice in quick succession, I'd say that your chances for getting a visa on your third attempt is very low.

2. I paid fees because i don't want to miss my chance for September intake. I got my offer letter after i applied for visa so there was not any way to inform embassy about this. I checked langara is a reputed college in British Columbia so i didn't want to miss the chance and paid fees for it in hurry

Well, there's nothing you can do about it now. I hope that the fees are refundable in case you aren't given a visa.

You were refused the first time for lack of finances. If you have submitted a new application with enough proof to convince the officer that your financial situation is not an issue, you'll get the visa.

Good luck.

You can switch colleges without any issue you just need to make update on mycic account. Matrix is known for being crap college so getting money back could be a hassle.

The biggest mistake you did is, you showed bank statements, CA and property evaluation reports, you should have been aware that if one is applying under SDS then there is no need to furnish all of these documents. You have committed the same mistake which I did and the results we both got the same. If we have paid all the fees upfront and paid GIC then what was the point of showing bank statements... you getting my point...??

you can determine this through the Rejection Reason as well...
