Same for me, got an update on ecas. But the sponsor’s approval has already been sent weeks ago. I was thinking maybe theyre just late in updating ecas.

Actually my bacground check status changed from “Not Applicable” to “Your background check in progress. We will send you a message when we start background checking.” Since the day i linked my app. Then on March 28th from bgc in progress changed to “We are processing your bacground check. We will send you a message when we need more information.
Congrats! Out of interest, are you two living with your sponsors or currently in separate countries and living apart? As all the Outland applications I have seen processed quickly lately at Mississauga Visa office in other groups, have been living together in the same country (either in Canada or abroad).
