Indian Passport Renewal from BLS Toronto

I submitted appln for renewal on 26th Feb at BLS and was received at CGI on 27th Feb. Till date still showing processing at CGI. not sure how many days still it is going to be.

Same for me. I submitted on the same day and see the same application status. How did you get to know it was received at CGI on 27th Feb?

Just to complete this and lay it out for future reference. My Passport status at BLS Canada website changed to "In transit from Consulate to BLS" on 31st January, 2019 and finally, I received my passport on 4th February through Purolator at my home. All in all, it took exactly 20 days for me to get my passport renewed from BLS Toronto centre. However, some of my friends got it within 10-13 days. If anyone need any help don't hesitate to ping me.

Well the status changed to processing at CGI the very next day so that means they received and have the appln.

The BLS website says this "If Passport is issued from Toronto minimum processing time is 15 working days." So I guess it has to be working days.

The status has changed to Dispatched via courier. (Purolator) . there is airway bill number mentioned for tracking however upon tracking package show no record found on Purolator website. Is it the same for you?

Yes same status for me. I am hoping we get the passports back by tomorrow.

Hi all. I got my COPR and m planning to move to CA by the end of this yr. Our (husband and mine) passport is going to expire by Jan 2020 and April 2020. If we do a soft landing by end if this yr can we get our passports renewed in Toronto itself? How long is the renewal process taking these days? Tia

You can have your passports renewed in Toronto. Average processing time is 15 Business days.

Hi All. I got my student visa in 2018 and m planning to move to Canada this year (deferred intake) fr my Masters by July 2019. My passport is going to expire by June 2020 . Can I get my passports renewed in Toronto as soon as possible (Aug 2019) ?
Post this how do i go about extending my study permit?

Hi All,
In order to apply for passport renewal thru BLS, is it a must to have Work permit valid for more than 3months ?
I have a WP expiring in 2 months.
Anyone knows if this is a hard and fast rule?
